0Another one today
Scotland Street Ashton under Lyne. Manchester Evening News
there was a big digital warning sign on the approach to this bridge that went off if an oversight vehicle approached the turning towards the bridge it was removed last week to make way for a road widening and traffic flow scheme on the roundabout . not mitigating circumstances tho the signs and markings on the bridge are clear enough
Manchester city centre today and due to me not paying attention/■■■■ watching/ being too tight to pay for map upgrades I came around a corner to be confronted with a 12 foot 3 inch bridge! I’ve now got two options; (a) pin it, hit it, take photo’s and post them here, or (b) back up, turn around and go the other way. Took option b, not difficult really but judging by four pages of pics it’s a concept some struggle with.

There is a bridge on the A410 (I think) in between Barnet and Cockfosters. It is marked 15’3" give or take…
When I go under it there is an additional sign underneath the height marker is a sign saying for vehicles over 40’ in length bridge height is only 14’6"…I’ve seen something like that, possibly that very bridge in fact.
On the A110, google.com/maps/@51.650242, … ehWO9Q!2e0
I’ll cough up. I had a bloody close call last night in aintree on the a59. 14" 2 trailer on a 14" 3 bridge. Could get under it with space but for the end of a 12 hour shift. The stress of the 1st time in liverpool… and being ■■■■■■ lost and confused and satnav having a fit it was enough for me to properly ■■■■ myself and drive under at a crawl. Definatly a little wake up and knock back to the ground after 2 months in the job

Bit close to home that one, was out on the beer round there last week
Bidvest lorry has got wedged under a bridge in Mirfield this afternoon.Picture is in the Batley News if anyone wants to post the pic up.I don’t know how to put links up.

this one Chris?
Yep
It amazes me when i see the east europeans heading to the blackwall tunnel, overheight just to save a few quid at dartford, yet i believe they are fined for their offence of being overheight, regardless of all the signs on the approaches.
This bloke should never be allowed to drive again… at Ely, very well signposted as most of you will know. For those that dont, you bear right where the red lorry in the background of the last picture is going, and drive over the track, and you do the same if coming from the other direction.

Maybe there is no option now but to redesign trucks and cab design to ensure the first thing that hits a bride should be the drivers head in the vain but unlikely hope it may knock some sense in
