bridge height

FarnboroughBoy11:
But isnt that all irrelevant whether the ride height is 3" higher with the midlift up as it was the back of the trailer that hit ■■

And I still can’t get my head around it… Most of the truck was already under therefor most of the force was already through, the trailer must of been proper high at the back to cause the truck to veer off into that pillar.

very good point you make.
the only logical solutions would be something went over the bridge and made it flex.
or the air pressure increased, therefore forcing the bridge lower to the ground.

an increase in air pressure would come from all sides so it would make no diffrence

the maoster:
You can legally go under with a 16’ 9" trailer. The legal hassles only start once you hit the bridge. But, if the question was serious then yes you could go under with that trailer. The sign displays the maximum height allowed. A bit like travelling at 30mph is legal in a 30 limit. Remember, bridges are a limit, not a target!

Love this, some drivers do see them as a Target, to hit, hehehehehe
