Mazzer2:
You have always ahd to queue and show your passport when coming off a plane into Europe from the UK because the UK was never in the Schengen Agreement, to add this also applies to Irish citizens when flying from Ireland
Yes. There was always passport control for UK arrivals into the EU Schengen zone.
The difference is that now as before, the EU passport holders are given free entry into the EU, but the UK holders have to conform to more requirements than before. UK passport holders need to use 3rd country lanes and may be asked more questions than before. Not EU passport holder lanes.
Irish passport? EU lanes.
UK passport? Other passport lane. Possible checks on length of time in EU, finances, reason for trip etc.
Will it make it slower for everyone, all the time? No.
Will it make it slower for some? Yes.
Of course, the big advantage for the UK in all of thi_____________
Hardly the massive inconvience YOU would have us all believe it has become no different to entering any other country around the world and still easier than entering the vast majority of countries in the world, if your life is so stressful that a minute or two in a queue is calamity then perhaps you’d be best off staying at home in a stress free environment
I get to look at a healthier bank balance, I get the warm feeling I mentioned every time I witness sour grapes and petulant foot stamping, I get the satisfaction that comes from knowing that a Belgian named Jaque has no impact on my life. I could go on.

WHAAAAAAAT? We have to stand in a different lane and we may have to answer more questions? Outrageous. Why didn’t you tell me this before the referendum? That would definitely have swung me into the remain camp!
Evolved:
If pay increased across the board why would people switch companies? Odd
Did it increase across the board? Or di the enlightened ones increase pay to attract better drivers whilst leaving the dross where they belong? So many questions so little time.

All drivers go for higher money
It was always UK employers destroying wages not employees

90 days in 180 rule and uncle is happy with that.
As he says, why should the minority that brexit is disadvantages for have a bigger say over the majority.
I’m very happy with Brexit so far. Wages have risen and I’m still able to live my live exactly how I did 5, 10 & 20 years ago.
BTW I just saw that stupid post by whispers about Rees-mogg driving down the exchange rate yet I heard on the radio that pound v euro is 1.19…far better than it a couple of years ago when the rate was 1.08.
Remainers…still crying not because we have left the EU but because they lost a vote and are still stomping their feet like a spoilt brat!
it absolutely blows my mind that your uncle can be happy about being told how long he’s allowed to live in his own house
“happy” ■■
i just dont know what else to say really, i dont think i can ever understand the mentality of a brexiter
anyway
As he doesn’t live there then the 90 in 180 works fine for him.
Like the rest of us who voted out we knew that there was to be bad with the good

That’ll be the same pound that prior to Brexit economists were saying was over valued by around 20% and needed to fall to it’s true level
Shh!
Remainers don’t like inconvenient facts.
Last time I was in Germany (over 10 years ago) the euro was at 1.08.

You can only destroy wages when there is an oversupply of Labour.
As for moving to higher wages, I’ve secured over 7 grand for the lads this year. I’m now working on reducing hours.
If I can’t I’ll move to a job with a better work life balance.

Last time I was in Germany (over 10 years ago) the euro was at 1.08.
Up until the Global recession the £ was mostly above 1.25 Euros.
It was hit much harder than the Euro and fell relative to it around 2008.
Whilst still in the EU it rose again. Not to the same levels as before, but a rise none the less.
The next big fall was in summer of 2016…that wasnt because of a global event was it? The £ hasnt recovered to pre-referendum levels yet.
Monkey241:
You can only destroy wages when there is an oversupply of Labour.
That sounds simple.
Henry Louis Mencken:
For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
An oversupply of labour can cause a fall in wages.
That is probably not the only cause.
Ideas of Monopsony and Keynesian Wage Stickiness seem to have some traction.

You make an assertion about simple ideas and wrongness but cap it off with something far less positive
