You sound confident you know about these things, how many EE have you known?
I’ve worked with a few of them. Decent lads but let’s not confuse the fact they where here to work and send cash home, I can’t fault that logic as it supports families.
My other half is from a ee family.
Don’t start with the nonsense your trying to go down. I fully appreciate and understand folk coming here to work from poorer paid places but sadly it went on too long and affected our jobs and pay.

There is a lack of good up to date figures. But that doesn’t mean it is not a real problem, and we need to work with the info we have, rather than deny it because of less than perfect data.

(See, I didn’t tell you to “to go and look on Google” tempting though it was)[emoji3]
Sorry you’re still struggling with Google. What you needed to look at was already in my comment.
I note the lack of figures in your answer.
Possibly largely because you’re unable to come up with anything better than a vague estimate. The issue is you’ll inflate the number who have supposedly left the UK whilst ignoring any other fact.

I’ve said before now that the N.I./Uk/Eire border “solution” was a nonsense.
Now it’s official: the UK un-elected Minister for Brexit, Commissioner Frost, has said so too. inews.co.uk/news/politics/conse … al-1230856
And irishtimes.com/news/world/u … -1.4690538
The fudged deal is (even in his eyes) a non runner. Of course it isn’t his fault, not Johnson’s fault, and he wants the EU to fix it. #TakeBackControl!

The fact that they can simply suspend it is indicative of taking back control.

You are right. Of course they can do whatever they want. Suspend it unilaterally, if they want.

Stupid kids can petulantly say “I’ll do whatever I want”, as they stick their hands into moving machinery.
(And blame someone else when it all goes wrong)

You mean invoke bilaterally agreed mechanisms ?
Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
The mechanism is not at issue.
It is the Unelected Minister and Prime Minister, who negotiated the protocol, and told us how wonderful it was that they had solved problems of the NI border, now telling us it is unworkable.
And it isn’t their fault of course.

Oh dear… you seem to struggle with established governmental processes.
As for a solution, smoke and mirrors…
Personally I’d have challenged them to put up a hard border

We don’t need Brexit government officials to put a positive spin on this story, we have Brexit taliban on this forum to do their work for them, while the country is falling apart.
Are you Mazzer relying on an advice and opinion of the scientists who’s life depends on introduction of GMO foods to our lives.
I watch, from time to time a few different doctors on YT , and none of them ever said GMO is good for us, but on the contrary they all advise on staying away from GMO foods, and trying to always buy organic foods.
Organic foods can not contain GMO foods, even in the US, USDA wouldn’t approve it, but food for commoners , no problem, could be GMO food.
So, are you saying I should trust more in what all these privately employed scientists say, rather than what EUs official body says?
If GMO was such a good idea and a no brainer for us to consume, why hadn’t we lobbied the EU, before we left, to introduce GMO to our diets, together with chlorinated chicken?
I also can’t remember, any Brexiter listing introduction of GMO foods as a clear benefit of us leaving the EU.
Your reply implies it is a very clear benefit, and I am surprised the Brexit camp have never mentioned it in the past.
The UK was one of the few EU countries to want GM foods and carry out trials so the UK has been looking into this for a long time hardly a reason for Brexit but now we are out we can conduct our own trials and see what the benefits are but if you believe that there are no GM foods in the food chain now then you are mistaken.
Nice to see that you still can’t conduct a conversation without insults YT scientists are hardly independant but from what you are saying is that your mind is made up because the EU says so has it not occured to you that there are people lobbying the EU who don’t want GM foods all arguements will have lobbyists for and against.
Nice to see you trot out the chlorinated chicken arguement it is proven that chlorinated chicken is not bad for you it is the conditions the chickens are kept in that is the problem hardly relevant to the GM arguement ooh look at the horrific conditions those seeds are being kept in.

Brexit was always a stupid idea. But this “government” have made a disaster into a catastrophe.
Farmers are now, as we speak, slaughtering their own pigs and burning/burying them.
Here is one reason. 23 steps now to export a pork chop to our nearest neighbour.
Previously; it was ONE step… (You might have to click on it to see the full poster)

So, the ability to adapt is a problem?

I admire the spirit of those who adapt to personal set backs. Those overcoming the loss of a limb and carrying on with productive lives deserve the praise and support of us all. The ability to adapt is a virtue.

Anyone voluntarily cutting off their own right arm? A country choosing to make extra difficulties where few existed before?

That’s your issue Franglais… you view this form of protectionism as akin to keeping your arm.
You’d submit your own personal liberties in favour of a nascent superstate
