I see the French have got their calotes in a twist over our multi million defence pact with the US and Australia, to build submarines.
Had their les nez put firmly pushed out of the deal.
Do you think maybe they have suddenly realised we can carry on fine without them and the rest of their club merci,.after all ?

If the roles were reversed and it had been our contract cancelled no one would ever be allowed to forget it we’d ■■■■■ and moan so much. One of few things we are world class at, whinging. Bit of a crap move by Australia imo

Why? They are getting a better product and building them within Australia, when it comes to matters miltary Europe is completly irrelevent in terms of equipment and the will to follow it through, ask anyone who served in Afghanistan about the competency of European armies or the will of their governments to take casualties, Read the book by Adam Jowett called No Way Out, the first chapter explains why UK had to deploy to that location, the Danish government thought it was too dangerous and so withdraw their forces, HELLO you deployed them to a war zone of course it’s dangerous

Let’s face it, the alliance is aimed at countering the Chinese…

Not sure French diesel subs are what that game requires.

I note the French beyond a lot of foot stamping are not really saying that much about the contract. That suggests to me it wasn’t formally binding…

Because they went back on a contract that’s all. Rest of comment is interesting but irrelevant. Maybe Australia should do their research a bit better before ordering.

On the other hand, if that was the result of a quick grab test in Thailand, things would be looking good

Spot on!

Do their research a bit before ordering?

Are you suggesting that threat directions and severities don’t change?

The first duty of any govt is national security.

Ok

Something most European governments only pay lip service to, to be fair to the French they are about the only one that does take it seriously so it’s a bit ironic this happened to them

It is so sad that ■■■■■■■■ has been as quick to destroy Britain as the Taliban have Afghanistan.

If you are going to put up an argument,.at least make it a grown up one ffs.
This thread is not showing some of you in a good light, and makes the rest of us embarrased for a certain few of you.

OK Rob, I submit - I have now seen that at last we do have a Brexit benefit - the first of many hopefully;

Something we can both relate to.
CHEERS

No sir, we can not.

You can not compare an English Pint of Best Bitter, with the foreign, carbonated, dish water of which you are so fond.

(Served in aluminium, ye gods)

Hmm a Netherlander slagging off his national brew,.and favouring a pint of Brit beer. :open_mouth:

Thing is I’ve always been a brit beer drinker.
If I’m ‘sur le Continrent’ I sample the local brews, (or sometimes if I’m watching football I’ll drink lager for some unknown reason  )

A pint of Jennings sneck lifter,.Theakstons , or even John Smith’s (leave it Dan  ).

I was banned from drinking bottles of Newcastle Brown by the Mrs a few years ago, for reasons involving a plant and the wardrobe through the night after far too many of them…

The Urine, the Plant and the Wardrobe?

The Urine, the Plant and the Wardrobe?

Could have used the excuse that he was looking for Narnia

Looks like that big trade deal with the US has gone straight down the toilet. No chance. We might get a rubbish deal that mexico got but thats yer lot.

Working out well.

JeffA:

In one .
Only plus side it was my side of wardrobe my gear, Christ if it had been hers… :open_mouth:

I was not slagging off fine continental Pilsners (of which Heineken is not one… :unamused: ), I was referring to your penchant for carbonated dishwater from your erstwhile colonies across the big pond :sunglasses:

As for marking your territory, from the fine specimen of alpha Male as yourself, I’d expect no less. Wise choice of wardrobe side though.

That’s at you btw, not with you. You’re like the spotty kid who’s had his dinner money taken away from him by the big boys.

Your anguish actually brings me great pleasure.

No it doesnt. Arguing on the internet is like the special olympics - even if you “win” you are still retarded. You dont feel any better - you still hate yourself when you put your head on the pillow.

How is it a crap move by us here in Australia, the subs we are getting. Ow are most cost efficient and reliable what the French want to give, also, maybe be realist , understand australia has. More in common with the UK and US then the EU … it’s that pathetic the EU are whining all we heard on news now trade talks will end coz little man macron is crying .

Its time the uk forgot about submarines - little man with big man syndrome.

:open_mouth: Wow !.

And the 2021 TN award for the most Crass Comment goes to…
:unamused:

True tho.

JeffA:
True tho.

Aye in your head.
You use the word ‘‘retarded’’ :unamused: …most are making the absolute best of being disabled instead of sitting around feeling sorry for themselves, trying to obtain a full life out of a crap one, many of those Paralympic competitors are ex military with limbs blown off in Afghan.
Put your brain into gear mate before showing your ignorance. :unamused: .

No, it’s not an attack on disabled people mate or who got blown up in Afghan (eh?). It’s a simple observation about people being arsey on the internet. (Presumably it hit home a bit sharp - did you really believe you were “winning”?)
