Who Is the UK’s biggest trade partner?
I’ll give you a clue…It isn’t the other side of the world…It isn’t on the Pacific Ocean rim…
Who is conducting negotiations with the EU?
(■■■■ I gave the answer away)
A certain Lord Frost. A Government Minister.
Voted in by?
Answerable to?
But at least he isn’t called a Commissioner, so it must be OK… ?
.
"Lord Frost: “The basic problem [with the protocol] is that the chilling effect on goods moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland is pretty strong. Until we began implementing the protocol nobody could quite know that.” (1)
But when later challenged by the committee, who pointed out that experts did predict these problems, he replied:
Lord Frost: “I’m not saying that nobody suggested the such thing could happen. I think what we’ve seen, though, is that the effects has been pretty marked”
Lifted from Reddit.
So, our genius non elected minister, says before Parliament, that effects of the NI Protocol
Couldn’t be foreseen.
We’re foreseen by experts.
Is having a strong effect.
.
And they haven’t even been fully implemented yet!
.
Johnson’s “oven ready deal” is still running around the farm yard…
.
Being a bore, I’ll repeat a story:
A divorced Dad promises his daughter a birthday treat. A day by the seaside!
Great we all say!
It’ll be a lovely sunny day. We’ll have all your friends along in a minibus I’ll hire. Swimming. Coke. Burgers and chips. The fairground will be open and Dad will pay for all the rides for all of you.
Brilliant.!
The day gets nearer.
It arrives.
Dad arrives in an old car. He’d been refused a hire car. So daughter leaves half a dozen of her mates behind.
But never mind it’s her birthday treat.
On the way to the beach, the clouds roll in. It chills down and starts to rain.
Daughter is feeling a bit fed up.
“Hey Dad, what about a burger?”
“Sorry love, your Mum says you’re not allowed”.
But, hey ho, we’re off to the beach.
As they arrive the heavens open and a thunderstorm starts. At the beach they are tho only ones…apart that is, from a life guard sitting under an umbrella by a red flag, who tells them swimming is far too dangerous today.
Looking around, they see the fairground packing up to move out.
They go back to the old car…Daughter is sobbing.
“What’s up?” Asks Dad.
“I promised you a day at the beach for a treat, and here we are!”
“Happy Bre… Birthday”
You think we should vote for trade negotiators now?
Difference between him and a commissioner is he was employed by people we voted for.
Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
I think that Gov Ministers should only be chosen from elected MPs only. (Johnson is far from unique in this but that doesn’t make it right)
Trade deals are international treaties likely to be in force through several Parliaments. For that reason they should be voted on by Parliament as a while, not negotiated by the PM’s appointee and signed off by the PM. We have a Parliamentary system, not a Presidential one.
(Here Johnson is trying to bypass Parliament too much)
EU Commissioners are proposed by a member country s elected representatives, and voted in by those elected representatives of all member states.
Not the personal appointees of one person, albeit that person was voted in by Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

The UK held a referendum. The UK left the EU because it was the will of the people, for good or bad. We have to all make the best of it and nobody said there wouldn’t be hard yards in the process.
If people voted based on blatant lies, it is something everyone should be worried about. Taking it on all fours means it will only get worse for democracy.
What were the blatant lies that resulted in my vote?
Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
If you were to tell us your reasons for voting, then we might discuss the accuracy of them. A long list of lies only to have you tell us they weren’t the reason for your vote would be a waste of time.
Franglais:
be a waste of time.
Because a 27 page conversation complaining about a vote that took place 5 YEARS AGO that is going to do absolutely sweet ■■■■ all in terms of a result change …isn’t??
The irony.
Here’s a suggestion that ain’t a waste of time, …
You’ve been dealt your cards, but you don’t like your hand.
Play it, make the best of it… and ffs.
MOVE ON

Most of us have, and are bored ■■■■ less with all this, you and Kloss should be practicing PM heaven instead.
You could say don’t read it and on the whole I don’t, but occasionally I do dip into it fascinated and astounded how the two of you (especially him
) actually wallow in your bitterness, completely oblivious of how you come across to others.
Point made.

What point is made?
That you are still reading and posting on the clearly named Brexit thread?
Move on? You’ll be saying next that guff about “Brexit is done”!
The vote was taken, and the UK is out, but Brexit certainly is not done.
The “oven ready deal” has not yet been implemented by the UK. The import checks haven’t started yet, the new arrangements with the EU are still being discussed, so far we have one new deal, (as opposed to rollover* deals)
There is still a lot going on, and if you wish to be one of those saying “they’re all the same” and ignoring the present anti democratic Gov, you certainly can do so.
.
.
- may be the new Aus deal is a classic rollover too!
.
.Ed to add.
My talking to hkloss etc would really be a waste of time. I’m here to talk to those I disagree with. Not to just sit in an echo chamber.

FFS Franglais every ■■■■■■■ day another whinge and often some link in an attempt to convince us that only your view of matters is the correct one. We get it, you wanted to stay and you didn’t get what you wanted, stop stamping your foot, get over it and move on like Robroy says. If you are that wound up write to your MP every day.

Not me saying “FFS” and telling others “to move on” or how to otherwise behave is it? Not me getting irate about it all.
As with RobRoy if you aren’t interested in this clearly marked topic you are free to read and post, or not, as you choose. I am not telling you want to, kindly don’t tell me what to do.
.
Ed to add
As before this incompetent Gov wants us to “move on” , that is to ignore, what is currently going on, in the pretence it is all over. Johnson repeatedly tries to bypass Parliament. Nothing would suit him more than to be ignored as he continues to damage our county.
Brexit voters and Boris fan boys, keep returning to post on thread to have a go at people who are keep posting things they don’t like on thread

Yeh it’s you
Sure I voted Brexit, if we had stayed in I’d have been a bit miffed yes, but I would certainly not have come on here continuously up to 5 years whinging and belly aching about it, on a dailyv ■■■■ basis, or embarrasingly came across as a complete obsessed fruit loop like the other character on here…who has ‘became important’.
what the hell can it achieve…unless you go into full time politics…
Oh another thing, I ain’t a ‘Boris fan boy’
…grow up.

But are here, on an almost daily basis, moaning and whinging about a pint of view different to your own!
And Brexit, I will repeat, wasn’t all over and done with 5 years ago. The initial deal still has NOT been implemented by the UK. The talks conducted by a non elected Minister are ongoing and may well not be voted on by Parliament.
If you don’t want to tell us all the Brexit benefits we’ve had, I’ll do it for you
Or rather Johnson did so yesterday.
Enjoy.

Whatever I or anybody else says you ain’t gonna get the message are you.
Here’s to another 5 years and another 20 pages…Enjoy.

I don’t think you’ve thought that one through mate.
On a public FORUM since 2007 discussing and debating many different views and subjects over an excess of 19000 posts…come back when you get what I mean.
And oh yeh …A Tory?
Don’t know if I can be labelled so, more a disgruntled ex Labour man realising a bad bunch, so not a great deal of alternative until something drastic happens with a ‘Labour’ party that reassess it’s roots and reason to be.
This thread is much like Emmercoronenders…
Dip in once every 6 months, straight back in, nothings changed.
Don’t you get bored with this?
(Not you Rob, we know you love the attention.
)
Like it or hate it, we out of Europe and not likely to go back in. So why oh why Do you keep banging on about it.
Life goes on and apart from better rates I haven’t really noticed much difference.
Bugger I now joined in on this crap while I tried my hardest to avoid this thread

Have a go?
Or debate?
On what is largely a forum…for debate?
As for things we don’t like…hmm.
Inaccurate sometimes. Irrelevant sometimes.
Occasionally true

Bad news for the doom merchants from Nissan. They’re investing heavily into a new model and battery plant in Sunderland. 1500 direct jobs created and approximately 4000 support jobs. Just as well Tokyo doesn’t read TN.

Oh ffs

Just off set it off against what we have saved by no longer pumping millions into the EU for God knows how many years,…and getting thousands back off them.
