Brexit stuff in one place [MERGED]

Of course, like the gobby know-it-all in the pub “If I was in charge…”.

He still won`t admit that unicorns were being promised.

All Remain had to offer was summat that actually exists in the real world. Not the fantasy sold by politicians and the tycoons who run the media and the Tory party.

The Implementation of Brexit has failed, Deliberately failed by people that were over 75% against it all along - the Parliamtarians.

They’ve now got a closed shop where no one “not them” gets a look-in.

The Establishment are taking no more chances with “Referendums” and “Electoral Colleges”.
We’ve already seen the last truly free and fair elections in the West…

Keir Starmer already intends to both reverse Brexit, and give the vote to people that would support that in the aftermath… We won’t be able to criticise, lest we all be called “Nazis” for even questioning the foul deeds they have done to the British Public to get their own way in the end, after all…

The main aspects of Brexit that never even BEGAN to be implemented are:

(1) Drawbridge never got pulled up. All we had to do when “Brexit Lite” clearly wasn’t working - was charge a £100 entry visa stamp for all persons entering this country from abroad, including UK citizens returning from Holidays abroad.

(2) Massively recruit Customs officials to check imported and exported goods, to take up the slack among the border force who would have a lot less to do otherwise, because of (1).

(3) Come out of the ECH by decree, and make it a criminal offence to lodge further court blocking orders over anything to do with “Brexit”.
In future, fancy lawyers will try to introduce bills that they say “Have nothing to do with Brexit” as a get-around, but in doing this - they admit there were no downsides to Brexit after all, and finally accept and consent to their personal world of “make up laws as we go along” being torn down, and destroyed by the Tyranny of the Majority, as voted for in 2016…

There was only ever a proper version of Brexit that could ever possibly appeal to the Right.

Perhaps if we had more Lawyers on that side too, we might have made a better go of it - but no.

Liberalism is on the verge of being overthrown by global revolution, rather than this “One world NWO Government” they seem to dream of…

Starving People - don’t support the Estbalishment they’ll blame for that mess, rather than “Brexit”.

Mega gloating rather than an impartial unbiased delivery by the commentator.though eh?
Of course Farage ain’t going to be happy about the state of play, of course the Tories are to blame, I won’t bore you again with the observation, (obvious to those who can see it,.and classed as BS by those who do not WANT to see it).of the half arsed and reluctant approach and organising of it all, purely and simply to achieve their agenda of getting us back in, .(by implementing disgruntlement fron the public,.and more importantly those who wanted/want Brexit.)

What was it 5 out of 10 Brexiteers regret it?..
Aye whatever you/they say.
Dont bother providing links of 'proof ’ either mate,.because I still won’t believe it. :unamused:

You can’t have it both ways Frangers,. On one hand an obsessive hatred towards both Brexit AND the Tories, then on the other hand knock them for not making Brexit a roaring success. :unamused:

Impartial unbiased delivery?
Well if someone was saying that “2 plus 2 equals 7” should be presenter just nod and say “OK” ?
There wasnt enough pointing out of the flaws in the Brexit fantasies earlier on. It is the Governments own OBR that is saying how bad everything is and even Farage offers no alternative figures!
Being “biased” in favour of the real world, rather than some fantasy isn`t a problem for me.

Obsessive hatred of the Tories?
Hmmm how do you feel about those who ■■■■ up your back and tell you it`s raining?

Am I knocking the Tories for not making a success of Brexit? I can hardly blame them for failing to deliver the impossible.
I can blame them for keeping on saying it is there and wrecking what we had in a wild goos…unicorn chase.

The vast majority of economists and experts all said Brexit was a bad idea.
The Brexiteers muttered on about “project fear”.
Brexit has been a failure, even Farage says so. The experts were right.
But the nutters are still saying “Yes, but…No, but…Yes, but”

Instead of whinging about the country being held back by the EU, the story is now about how Brexit was “sabotaged”…by a new pro-Brexit Tory party with a big majority under your hero Johnson? Really??

But every cloud has a silver lining: how well are the other Brexit supporters doing?
Dyson? Nice new set up in Singapore.
Ratcliff? Nice new factory in France, and one on the cards in Austria.
Rees-Mogg? Somerset opened an EU office. Doing very nicely thank you.
Mrs Sunak? Non dom, so hardly involved in UK tax.
Tory party? The fringe conference this week is paid for by foreigners. Russians and money launderers have been chucking money at them the same as ever.

It isnt the Tories failing to "try hard enough" or whatever. It sint “lack of faith”. Economics isnt (or shoudnt be) a religion that needs “belief” to make it work!
That is the language of cults.

Farage sold an impossible dream.
He sold unicorns.
They dont exist. Him and you muttering on about the Gov not trying hard enough to find them isnt the problem. Unicorns don`t exist.
They are like the £350 million on the side of the bus. Fantasy.

Yep, well said - especially the part about actually going out and speaking to people out in the real world in your day to day lives and garnering their feelings on things and how they have been handled. Franglais as usual couldn’t get on here quick enough with another link in his endless and boring obsession to prove to the world he is right and we were all fools for daring to vote out.

Even Winseer has written a fully coherent post on the previous page (minus the usual irrelevant waffle  ) that hits the nail on the head perfectly and I totally agree with.

Pull up the drawbridge? What does that mean?
Just stop (or heavily tax) foreign holidays for UK citizens? Or put higher taxes on all UK trade?
So:
Increase the price of all imports for UK consumers.
Increase the price of foreign hols for UK citizens.
Increase the price of exports so we sell less and balance of payments get worse?
Or stop all imports?
We import 45% of our food…
Pull up the drawbridge = Insanity

Recruit more Customs etc.
Well we already have. Maybe we should recruit more. And the private sector should recruit more clerks to process the documents needed. That has happened, so even more?
More taxes to pay for all these extra civil servants.
More overheads for companies to employ more clerks, who actually produce nothing extra, means everything costs more.
So, we take home less pay and pay more for goods = Insanity

Why is all the world looking for free trade deals?
Why does this gov shout when they get a new one? (no matter how dud it really is)
Why is leaving a massive free trade zone on our doorstep a good thing? Insanity

Make free speech and the right to speak against the Gov of the day a criminal offence?
It is going that way already. People are being arrested for being in possession of a piece of string!
Creeping totalitarianism.
Insanity.

You get yourself ■■■■■■■ in knots and seriously wound up and angry with all this stuff and that’s fine, you can do as you please. But you fail to understand that most people aren’t interested in a lot of the above such as trade deals, customs protocols etc, largely because at ground level most of those things won’t actually have a “noticeable” difference or affect in their day to lives in the way that say, uncontrolled mass immigration has or the ability to govern and manage our own rules and laws that put the people of “this” country first. Those are the sort of things people care about and were hoping for when voting for Brexit, I said it on one of the other threads (possibly the Immigration one) but there has been a narrative out there for along time now that putting the interests of the UK and it’s people first is seen as a bad thing for some reason and it baffles me. The word patriotic is seen as a dirty word.

I get “■■■■■■■ in knots and angry” Really?
Can you see me on a spy camera?
Or are you yet another expert psychiatrist who can diagnose patients remotely?
I don`t believe the first, but suspect you might actually believe the second!

Are people interested in the details of trade deals? I agree they aren`t.
They are interested in the results of those deals. And the suggestions of Winseer and agreed by you, is to increase the taxes they pay and increase the costs of their food, holidays etc. Looks to me like those are things in everyday life.
Brexit was sold to do away with Brussels red tape. It has meant increased red tape and costs. Increased transport delays and transport costs.

Do you reckon that is all worth it to somehow rule ourselves better?
How so?
Up until 2016 the UK voted contrary to EU on 2% of occasions…Two per cent.

Since 2016 we voted contrary to the EU once that I can find. And that was to oppose extra safety rules for workers against carcinogens.
publications.parliament.uk/pa/c … 0grid%20(1%20(1)%20(002).pdf
We just had to be forced by those nasty foreigners to look after the workers didn`t we? What a disaster! (p 19)

As part of the EU we had a say in their standards for foods and goods. Now we have none. Does that matter?
Well, anyone wanting to sell in the EU still has to comply to those rules. Which is just about all the major food companies.
They could set up two production lines, one for UK one for EU, but why would they increase their costs? Nope, we are no longer law makers, now we are law takers.
What of the new deals? Aus and NZ? We accept their goods on their terms. Their farmers can produce meat with lower welfare standards, and so lower costs than UK farmers. Not everyone in the UK works on a farm, and maybe none of your mates do so you don`t care, but that is bad news for the UK. Unfair competition means less food produced here and more dependence on suppliers we have no influence over.
Insanity.

The current UK points system for immigration ensures that only well paid jobs go to foreigners. No immigrants can come in to do cheap manual work.
Why educate or train someone from here to do a job, when you can import a ready to go immigrant? Hey, good business sense.

Don’t need too, I’ve read enough of your posts on the subject where you have had a meltdown.

Again, you don’t like those things you have mentioned above, I suspect most people aren’t bothered in the slightest.
