Brexit stuff in one place [MERGED]

I think not…,.did Cameron not promise a referendum, and then did everything in his power to determine the vote result that the Tories really wanted… but did not get.
No I ain’t wrong am I.

Correct. Cameron gave us the referendum.
Then there was a couple of changes of PM, and an election.
It was a new Gov headed by someone called Boris Johnson (who was vocal proponent of Brexit) that negotiated a deal and gave us Brexit.
Yes, he and his cronies do blame everyone except themselves for the current debacle, but anyone who has any interest in the subject can see that he had a strong majority in Parliament, “get Brexit done” was in his party manifesto, and any failings are due to him.

Ahhh so not ‘total nonsence’ after all then …make your mind up.
As for failings, it’s only seen as a failing by people like yourself, moaning whingers who can never accept a democratic decision and result.

So here’s another comment on your ‘posting style’ and tactic, ,.you’ve done victim, you’ve done embarrassing ranting, now you’ve resorted to patronising…''someone called ‘’ eh?

Cheers for keeping me right oh knowledgeable one.
That’s my tactic btw…sarcasm. :bulb: …so don’t get ideas above your station.

My “total nonsense” comment was made directly after your comment of

robroy:
Wtf did you expect,.a smooth well planned transition?..when most of the people in the ruling party did not want it, nor did they actually expect it…

Johnson and a new administration, all riding on a Brexit manifesto negotiated and gave us the Brexit we had.
Not some cobbled together minority Government.
Can you really not see that?

You’ve certainly got a problem mate,.I’ve said it before and I’ll.say it again.
You’re obsessed.

I`m dead chuffed that you have found time on your “date-night” to think of me.

Just out of curiosity, how do you define “obsession”?

My ‘date night’ as you put it was an anniversary afternoon tea with prosecco, .so back home early, thanks for asking.

My definition? You of all people don’t know? :open_mouth:
Look it up,.I’m fairly certain it will read along the lines of…
‘Franglais on Brexit’'…

Wow, this thread has certainly livened up over the last 24 hours since I was last reading.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Did you find time to discover the difference between a “referendum” and a “withdrawal agreement”? Time to see that two different Governments were responsible?

Back on topic, I see that the “plan” to ditch reams of current legislation, without even looking at the consequences of doing so, may seem like a bad idea to the current administration…
Sunak is not my idea of a good leader, but he is streets ahead of Johnson and Truss. He doesn`t live in a fantasy world.

I daresay the ERG will be more than a little bit upset however.
I (probably incorrectly) like to view myself as being fairly compassionate, and caring. But in the case of the ERG?
Nah…They are happy to screw us, so screw them and their foreign paymasters.

If it took me ten seconds, or ten hours to find that post, how does that effect it`s relevancy?

Still a bit sad though isn’t it.

Brexit content? Zero.

Waste of time, merely to try to score a point.
I daresay you might score many points off of me. I bet not many will be on the Brexit subject.

Go on, this is the Brexit thread. Give it a go.
Join the other hundreds on here, ganging up and drowning out all the Brexit negatives with their stories of the many Brexit positives.

Well I wasn’t going to bite, but since it appears you have had some sort of a meltdown this evening since I last read all this stuff yesterday I will indulge, so here goes.

Personally my life is noticeably no worse off then pre-June 2016. There I said it. In the UK, we have a population of about 68 million and I reckon the vast majority aren’t affected “noticeably” in their day to day lives by Brexit. You can tie yourself in knots and bang on about trade deals, extra paperwork, NI protocol etc but how many of those 68 million people directly and consciously actually notice any difference in their lives because of those things? To me, all they are is convenient words and weapons for remainers to use as to why Brexit is the worse thing to ever happen in the history of mankind. I know that may be hard for you to take because you so desperately want everyone to be living in misery because we voted to leave the EU and to be able to prove your point. Do I think Brexit has been a roaring success in the way many of us hoped - no, but that’s to be expected when none of our politicians actually wanted it in the first place.

Brexit bonus’s - in the last 18-24 months I have had nearly £3000 in retention bonus’s and 2 different pay rises amounting to an extra £7000 or so a year. Coincidence?

But all of this does not change the fact that your constant whining and obsession with searching out anything to further your agenda is still a little bit sad.

^^^^^^^^;^
‘Meltdown’ as you say, just about sums it up.

I have it down as shear frustration that not many of us on here share his views and dedication to all this stuff,.so he’s took to ranting.

I’m genuinely thinking maybe it’s time for me to back off a bit on the wind ups,.as I’m bordering on being slightly concerned about his relentless and irrational reactions to some of the stuff I say to him.,…It’s ceasing to be amusing anymore tbh . :open_mouth:

So maybe I at least should just let him carry on with all his stuff, with me as a.spectator only,.as I seem to make him worse.

tmcassett:

You as well?
Who gave us Brexit? Which party with which PM and Cabinet, and negotiators gave us Brexit?

Do you and RR think the only reason Brexit "isnt a roaring success" is because of a conspiracy of some sort? Youre both mad as hatters!

Franglais:

“Let something go” ?
Bizarre statement!
Let what go?
Stop talking about a subject I find interesting? Why would I want to do that?
As I have repeatedly pointed out Brexit is an ongoing event. It has affected us, and will continue to do so for years.
It isnt something that was all donen`dusted years ago. Anyone who reads any reliable news outlet will be aware of that.

If you can show me anywhere I said or used the word conspiracy then please do. I was simply pointing out what is obvious to anyone with a set of eyes and ears.

I didn`t say you used the word conspiracy. I asked a question.

You can see that the sentence ends with a ?

So to repeat: since you state

tmcassett:
no, but that’s to be expected when none of our politicians actually wanted it in the first place.

Who gave us Brexit?
Were the Johnson administration all merely playing roles in a huge deception? Pretending to be pro-Brexit when really against it?
Please feel free to explain in your own words what was really going on.
