Brexit stuff in one place [MERGED]

Franglais:
Has Johnson had his decorating bill signed off yet?

Ye [zb] all the Johnson bashing [zb] the media ran with.
Surpised we didn’t get a headline like “MURDOCH BUYS JOHNSON A BIG MAC AND HE DID NOT DECLARE IT!!!”

I got well passed that [zb] months ago.
Could not give a [zb] if Johnson broke the rules on covid or not because I do not think we should of had them in the first place.

I’m no Boris fanboy but I am only glad seeing him go because I am sick of every week they pull another story out their ■■■ to fill the news with about how he drank tea and shook hands during lockdown.

Yea, maybe as he imposed the rules it is some double standards. It did not seem he ever was in favour of lockdown though. I also give him some credit as when it comes to lockdowns he seems to have resisted them a fair bit. If Hancock was in charge he would of taken peoples kids lol.

Agree with most of that.
I think despite what the media rammed down our necks,.the MAJORITY of people couldn’t give a rat’s ■■■ about parties.
As I’ve said before, the only crime was getting caught, the only people who moan on about it are the Boris haters, the petulant (there I go again Franglais) remoaners who blame Boris for Brexit,.and those who were daft enough to obey the rules themselves and forfeit most of their social life and their Chrustmas and New Year.
All this talk about people missing funerals etc,.I get it,.I sympathise, but the participants at these (after work) parties, had already been in the same room and vicinity all week already, so…‘‘Same but different’’…

My daughter’s medical centre had someone leaving, so they decided to have a drink after work, just to say goodbye, but so as to not break the '‘covid rules’ they , about 6 of them, had it in the med centre garden, for about 15/20 minutes,.after sitting in the same rooms all day…you guessed it some arse hole reported them. :unamused:
‘Rules is rules’ eh? :unamused:

It wasn’t about the parties for me. What did it for me was the wriggling afterwards. Fully believe if they’d just come out and said we made an error of judgement blah blah it would have just blown over, and thunder would have been stolen by just holding hands up. It would have rumbled on a bit but what could realistically have been said? Tell the truth, be contrite, and you can claim morality.

Funny how it became a thing once he started being a pain towards Russia. I mean its not like Russia have interfered in politics in this country, or other countries, before is it… oh wait…

The media had a lot to do with it, if you drip feed the population any info or opinion, gullibility takes over,.and before you know it you get people regurgitating any old b/s they feed you…(a bit like opinions on truck cameras on here. )

The ‘Partygate’’ b/s went on longer than Franglais does on this thread, it was relentless for weeks,.every ■■■■ news channel was full of it all day long if you could bear to watch it.
Just like the Covid thing where suddenlly you had everybody walking around in masks looking like extras from Holby City…some still.are today ffs. :unamused:

And carrying on with the WW2 thing, (just for Luke  ,) I ain’t comparing the two in terns of seriousness.but…
’ ALL Jews are…’ :bulb: (fill in the blanks) ,.that particular little media campaign was a roaring success.

Outlawing prawn flavour crisps, and bananas with the wrong bend.
£350 million a week
Bent accounts
Health tourism
Turkey joining the EU
Banning pint glasses
“Gravy Train” repeated over and over, no evidence of corruption is ever show, but because it is repeated so often it is taken as a “fact”
“Undemocratic” or “democratic deficit” repeated over and over, without most people knowing how these terms are defined, or comparing them with the UK, or other systems
Banning of mushy peas
UK Bailing out EU countries

A general background noise of nonsense and downright lies.
A continual drip-drip of this kind of stuff, with no evidence, makes many think “no smoke without fire”.

Walked right into that didn’t I. :unamused:
You were obviously sat with baited breath waiting for me to respond, to unleash your latest composition and barrage of rant.
You must be running out of ideas,.surely, …you’ve managed to perpetuate this crap into 75 pages ffs :open_mouth:

Ironically the £350 million a week to the NHS was somewhat true and some.

Check out NHS spending pre brexit and post brexit.
Bit more than £350 million a week.

But check this out
fullfact.org/europe/350-million … ty-misuse/

Is what I was on about Franglais :stuck_out_tongue: Statistic misuse :stuck_out_tongue:. Politicans love to do that.

Anyway. ■■■■ the Tories and ■■■■ KEIR STARMER lol.
What makes me mad is that Keir Starmer is just another Boris. He literally has agreed with every political decision since Covid pretty much. If anything he has tried to push the government to introduce more fines more lockdowns more restrictions.
I do not want a Labour party with him in power.
For all of Jeremy Corbyn’s flaws at least he offered an alternative.

I really want someone in power who can get the job done.

“Check out NHS spending pre brexit and post brexit.
Bit more than £350 million a week.” Yes…and…?
Who was talking about how much the NHS spends a week?

“But check this out

Yes. From 2017. Johnson lied about the £350m.
Taking that with this
“Ironically the £350 million a week to the NHS was somewhat true and some.”
Let us pretend you owe me £10? If I told everyone you owed me 100 quid would that be “somewhat true”?
I would say it would be a lie and you would be entitled to call it such.

Some Politicians use statistics to lie… True… Does that mean statistics are all lies?
Some Politicians use words to lie… True… Does that mean words are all lies?
No and No.

75 pages and still no one has convinced me of a single way Brexit has benefited this country… :unamused:

Well that is a SHOCK!
Someone who finds this subject interesting, posts more, than those who dont! Who would have guessed? What is surprising is that someone who doesnt want to discuss it, and is bored by it, manages dozens of posts on it.
In fact Mr RobRoy has made 157 posts this past year about Brexit, and I can only find 31 about Newcastle. So

However since you and others moan that I put up too many links, and figures etc, then maybe the posts are more substantive than merely my opinions?
Try reading them again. I rarely say that “in my opinion” something is bad.
I have rarely said that in my opinion: inflation is bad, lying is wrong, a failing economy is not nice.
The facts I report generally lead you and others to see that for yourselves…

As Darkside says, precious little good news for the country either so far, or in the forseeable future.

You’ve actually counted how many posts about Newcastle I’ve done?? :open_mouth: …ffs man.
I don’t doubt that you have both took the time, counted (and no doubt logged for future reference :unamused: ) how many times I’ve posted on this thread.
That , and the time you actually spend on your Brexit Crusade illustrates just how much (too much) free time you have on your hands.

I’ve explained to you before, I find this thread fascinating and entertaining…but all for the WRONG reasons,.so that is why I contribute…not to mention the fact that it winds you up kinda makes it all the more entertaining.
Some of us don’t take stuff as serious as you mate. :bulb:

I didnt use an abacus. Ever heard of things called computors? If you look around there may be one near you now? Oh, Look. Youre looking at one already!

If you’re going to comment on my perceived ignorance, it has more effect, and makes it less ironic if you use correct spellings. :bulb:
Ever heard of a thing called a ‘‘Spell Checker’’.
You’ll maybe have one on YOUR computer…oh look, you’re already on it, have a search.

You seem to have conveniently missed the fact that closet LibDem Boris didn’t stop our EU contributions. So British taxes are still paying for the EU social and health care bill at our expense.

Carryfast:

If anyone, from any party, said that leaving the EU would result in our stopping those payments we were contracted to pay:
They were lying.

I daresay some were promising that, but they promising all sorts of things that were, and are, impossible in the real world.

I was in two minds whether or not to ignore this continual trolling.
The sheer hypocrisy of it is stunning so…here we are.

RR, once again seeks to belittle a poster. In this case suggesting that an obesessive would go and hand count all his posts. When the stupidity of this remark is made clear, he gets all defensive, and uses the term irony…never thinking that his post accusing someone of stupidity, was itself stupid!
How ironic is that?

But of course I am sure that he meant no harm at all. And he has a good sense of humour.  (look I mean it: I used an emoji)
So, I can carry on and call him any old names at all, safe in the knowledge that if he does get upset and complain, it isn`t because I am nasty, but that he is humourless.

PS
“Computor” is a largely redundant spelling of “Computer”. So maybe I did misspell a word.
I hope that the crime of having a long memory won`t be held too harshly against me when I reach the pearly gates!

But, back to the main event.
Not content with the existing ■■■■-ups
“A new report by the ex-leader of Tory MEPs, Lord Timothy Kirkhope, today warns Mr Johnson’s plan for a new UK-only rulebook on data security could cut Britain off from the free exchange of information within Europe, and undermine protections against international crime and terrorism.”

fuse:
,open boarders the criminals love it

Well Im sure the criminals will love our police forces etc talking to each other less and less, too. We already have lost SIS II to be replaced with the inferior Interpol I 24/7. Johnsons plans* are set to get EU co-operation further reduced, and get UK citizens rights to privacy more reduced. It couls also lead to businesses who trade both in the UK and elsewhere (yknow the big ones) to move out of the UK.
So, less work for UK citizens, less taxes for the UK, less privacy for UK citizens, but conversely less info swopping about criminals.
Sounds like a masterstroke.

Yes…I know…Johnson/plan?

It’s not lying to say that the ‘contract’ ended with the cessation of our membership.
The rest was remainer Boris lying to the BREXIT vote, to get a bent mandate, to remain in all but name.
So you admit that our ongoing net contribution is sucking tax revenues out of the NHS as has been the case since we joined the scam.
The truth is the party that took us in could and should never be trusted to take us out.
