Brexit stuff in one place [MERGED]

We have so taken back control of our borders, that a few Frenchmen turning up late for work to man passport control booths at Dover, can bring the country to a standstill!
Hmmm … Brexit - The gift that keeps on taking!

That’s actually the proof of the Tories fake BREXIT.
There were no problems with any French manned passport control booths in Dover in 1972 so why now.
Also not aware of any Dutch manned passport control booths in Harwich so far.
The truth is the French are trying to derail Boris’ fake BREXIT on the Tory Party’s orders until they’ve handed the next election to the LabLibs to reimpose Heath’s vision.

It is another Brexit success story.
We voted against free movement, and we`ve got it.

Organised by Franglais I believe :bulb: ,.who is in the leading truck, a la ‘Rubber Duck’… dressed as Captain Birdseye. [emoji38]

The owner of Lockfyne Langoustines is one of the main protagonists. He was moaning last week about Johnson and Vote Leave had lied to him.

There is a distinction there: Vote Leave was an objective; Johnson was a commitment.

Johnson was a Commitment?
If he can sing in tune that’s about the only thing he can do then.

Johnson was never a Powell, Benn, or Shore or for that matter Farage let alone Batten and the remainers know it.He’s a remainer masquerading under a false flag with a false flag Remain agenda.
As for sell out I’m seeing no increased supply of British fish like Turbot or Langoustines on British shelves.
It’s still going to France and Spain as usual.
We didn’t get our BREXIT May and Bozo made sure of that and the remainers know it.

@ airyaresedtrucker and others.
A view of the current UK situation from the USA? And not from a site selling anything particular.

You mean the French who didn’t like us when we were in the EU, let alone now we have left and are now making things more difficult than they need to be … shock horror!

I dont find that "the French" dislike me more than anyone else does? Maybe its me? Maybe it`s you?

The French are applying the rules as they apply to all 3rd countries. It is the UK that decided to become a 3rd country all by itself. I seem to remember the EU wanting us not to do so.

Didnt you want the end to free movement? Youve achieved it.

What has the end of free movement got to do with how the French are behaving like petulant little children presently? We voted to leave a political union. Yes that means when we cross borders into countries still in that union, such as in France we will be subject to different checks/documents etc than before but there’s a big difference to that and how the French are actually behaving towards us here.

Really?
What are the French doing to us that they dont do with other 3rd countries? Are the French doing anything that Spanish/Portugeuse/Italian etc countries arent doing?

As a direct result of us choosing to leave the free movement zone they are obliged to check how many days all 3rd country passport holders have spent in the EU zone, and to stamp passports.
All those rules were there before we left the EU…we were there helping set them up!

Dover is a very busy place, and in spite of being warned years ago by the port authorities that the existing 5 booths were inadequate, nothing was done.

We voted in a referendum to leave the EU.
Here they are (again) promising no queues at Dover…

The French have always hated us, it’s traditional since the days well before Napoleon.
One of the most offensive things I’ve ever heard in my life was perpetrated by the French, it was just after a D’Day anniversary, it was the desecration of WW2 Brirish Military graves, with words scrawled outside …‘‘Take your rubbish back home Rosbeefs’’.
How ■■■■ offensive, not yo mention bloody ungrateful is that.

As a kid I used to know an old guy who was an ex British Tommy fighting in WW1, it always amused me when he used to tell me ‘‘We liked the Germans better than the French, and we were fighting them’’.

Make no mistake they’re ■■■■■■ off because we left that shower of sh EU,.and they are trying their best to show us with as much mischief as they can muster.

Maybe they do dislike like the English more than the British Rob, but it doesn’t change the fact:
That having taken back control of our borders, a few Frenchmen turning up late for work to man passport control booths at Dover, can bring the country to a standstill!

If graves were desecrated, that is despicable. If a French person did it they are despicable.
Does that mean “the French” hate us?
Jewish graves were desecrated in Manchester. Does that mean that “the British” are anti-semitic? Or just Mancunians or maybe a few nasty individuals?
Stupid stereotyping.

Seems you are like tmcassett in feeling unloved by others?
I was told long ago that showing a bit of respect to others, often means a little respect is returned.
Why not try it, you nasty little ■■■■■■■■■■■■■?

C’mon admit it,.that’s the type of thing you REALLY want to say to me.

I take your point, maybe I was being a bit stereotypical, but you’ve got to admit, on the whole, …they just don’t like us.

I see the the ‘if in doubt bring up the war’ tactic is alive and well.

My experience suggests the opposite; it’s the ‘Ingerlish’ that dislike the ‘Frogs’, I’ve never encountered anything but friendship in France and even had 2 French girlfriends.

I remember some years ago in a dockside pub in Penzance, when I came in there was only one person in the pub a: ‘Visitor/Ingerlishman’, I came in & said hello & just got a grunt in acknowledgment.
Not long after a guy came in with a French accent, I guessed he was Breton so welcomed him with a basic Cornish Greeting, which is the same in Breton, we straight away got into conversation & laughter.
Eventually, the Breton went for a p1ss, whereupon the ‘Visitor/Ingerlishman’ - who had so far stayed silent - asked me why I was talking to ‘That Foreign Frog’, both the Barman & myself explained to him that in fact he was the Foreigner and that we & the Bretons are cousins sharing the same language & a similar culture - he wasn’t happy    .

It is the ‘Ingerlish’ that don’t like the ‘Frogs’, a bit more than the ‘Frogs’ don’t like the ‘Ingerlish’ - but I’m pretty sure that the English and the French get on fine with each other and have no issues between them.

As Basil said…

C’mon at least I waited until the 69th page.

I’ve never had a problem making friends and feeling loved, it’s just that when I was young my Mum and Dad only let me go out and make friends with the other kids who played on the green outside our house, as I was young I thought these were the only kids around to play with. However as I got older and was allowed out further afield to play I discovered lots of new friends I never knew were there.

I know the feeling TM C - my parents were very Baptist, apart from my near neighbour’s kids I wasn’t allowed to play with kids who weren’t Baptists, so as soon as I was old enough I joined the Merchant Navy and started playing with friends all over the world who weren’t Christians - OH what fun we had!!

And a lot of them were nice girls too, even if I didn’t quite speak their language!!
