BP tanker driver A9s today

optidrive:
Your the clown chiva, speed limit on single s/c 40mph speed limit on d/c 50mph that goes for all hgv , the cars and vans have the capacity to accelerate past, the tanker is a full 44 ton all up, , it’s idiots like you who cause accidents through your lack of self control and discipline. I myself am a fuel tanker driver and personally detest nobs like you. You give the haulage industry a bad name :imp:

Could agree more the law is the law to many hgv wannabe F1 drivers about

Yawn bored I would like one of the I never speed brigade if they are still on cards to put a photo of lets say April 3rds csrd to prove it. Bet we don’t see one.

We are constantly monitored by isotrak in my present job and my previous one too so no speeding is tolerated

I hope that folks on here have signed the petition to have the A9 dualled. The tanker man could have maintained 40 mph and let the build up pass and every one could have an easier day.

I always used to hold it back to 50 mph on d/c and let all lads who’d been held up behind get by and on there way, decent thing to do in my opinion.
But now after reading all the ■■■■■■■■ I read on aimed towards stobart drivers,zb you,I nail it as soon as I get on d/c then down to 35 mph when I get on a s/c   :sunglasses: ,and it makes my day when the lads behind have a hizzy fit over it   :sunglasses:
Did some lads over the other week, picked them up on a46 at Tewksbury and they didn’t pass me until Warwick bypass( some notable failed attempts by the r/m lads   .
yOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW     :stuck_out_tongue: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: THInK ON :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:

SteveBarnsleytrucker:
One of the best drives in the country apart when it’s winter! :open_mouth: onto Stobbarts anyone remember the big headed [zb] in the 1st ever episode who said “they call me top gun,the best of the best” well he couldn’t have been that good as I ain’t seen the fat p—k on the show since! :unamused: no problem with plenty of Stobbart drivers except from Mark Dixon and his best mate with the desert head and the like. There are some drivers who think that when they are wearing that uniform they are better or have achieved more than you in transport, don’t make me [zb] laugh! What about brain dead on last Fridays show who went back up the A1 ,across the M62 and back down the M1 when the M18 southbound was shut on his way to Magor, hasn’t he heard of the A57 that goes through Worksop or the A46 from Newark that goes down to Leicester Forest East?? He must have done a 60 odd mile detour! :unamused: plus we have had drivers at our place who have been laid off from Stobbarts and would refuse to do some jobs as they would get mucky :unamused: welcome to the real world fellas! It ain’t all just clean RDC or BnQ work this haulage lark.

best Stobart post…ever!

Hope they don’t ever film the ■■■■■ stains that drive for asda then, eh?

Can’t be any worse than you and your clown brethren, eh?

I wonder if mark Dixon will be doing any transporter work?

maybe on the A9,at 40mph?

Rooster:
Anybody who speeds on any road above the speed limit is a complete and utter knob.

Go on try and change my opinion, bet you can’t…PATHETIC

That includes the knobber in the OP on DC’s.

that will be 90% of the driving population then

Agree, there choice.

Last week went into Wales from Hereford into a small village called Glasbury, the signs indicated 20mph for school traffic, I slowed down to 20mph and yes a cretin overtook me.

I bet he’s a parent.

Hmmmm, reading the previous pages it seems that most drivers stick to 40 on a s/c. Strange how when I’m happily sat at 50 on one I rarely catch a 40mph guy up but invariably have plenty sat on my bumper edging out over the white line urging me on!

Obviously they aren’t members of this forum then eh?

That’s because a lot of people on here probably don’t drive an hgv. In fact I suspect many members can only post when they ask their carers for permission.

Many a true word spoken in jest.

I’ve only driven the a9 once & that was in the last snow dump with cable reels and loose whiskey kegs in halves which were an absolute nightmare to strap down, amazed I never lost one through the sides.

40 mph then would have been epic then, I was heading south watching huge tailbacks try and get north.

It’s was a catch 22 between maintaining traction & not crashing.
