Easiest way in looks bull lane , but pod is saying off white hart lane , is there a reason for using w/h/l , weight limit on bull lane or something , can’t see anything googling it
Was down bull drive
Coming in if using 406 can’t get off for bull lane.
Have carry on hope to do a u turn.
So going in whitehart lane probably is best.
But going out use bull lane then can get onto the a 406

To be fair there are a lot of shades of grey in that.
For example I’d prefer distance work that might sometimes mean running into and out of London, than shunting rail freight within a few miles radius around Daventry etc for the rest of my career.

Yes I did , it was just the off w/h/l on pod that had me thinking you had to come in that way ,

I think you have proved over and over again on here with your poor and know it all attitude why you no longer have a “career” driving a lorry!
I’m puzzled as to why a driver who started work for Easton tankers would be going to Bookers Tottenham, that is unless Eastons are a subsidiary of Stobbies

If you read through the threads ( it’s on the Easton job threadyou’ll see the other option I had !! I even had the option I had was to stay sat on the settee earning £0 as you are , I took a day shift job as it was meant to be a 4 am start instead of eastons 16.00- 19.00 so it was better for my health as I’m diabetic so I could get home & have a proper tea , the Easton job was also on £20k pa , whereas this is job is meant to be £40 k , I wasn’t keen on this job as it was thurs - mon , but they compromised and I’m working sun -thurs , not keen on weekend work but it does mean I’ve a day for hospital / clinic / job centre appointments without taking a day off all the time
Maybe in future instead ere of watching Susana Reid , ■■■■ all day you’ll read all the threads then you’ll have the correct information at hand before you post , you’ll even know the stobart don’t exist , they were brought by culina years ago , you’ll also of read my explanation I couldn’t go back as they’ve no depot near Grantham ( rugby )is nearest ) which according to when we had redundancies at Newark ( this was explained too you as well before ) it’s outside there allowed travelling range , I was getting redundancy until metaat Boston came up , they send me there where I left 2 week later .
Hope this helps , I shouldn’t need to post it as it’s all before you, if you wanted to read it ,
Getting more bitter & twisted every day that I’ve got a job / earning a wage whereas you’ve done sfa about it , sat on your ■■■ doing nothing is down to You , not me , I’ve got a work ethic / your work shy , if you want to sit at home on your ■■■ for months doing nothing , you do that but don’t expect me to do the same !!
Nb I’d stay off here for a day / two as I’ll be posting photos of my visit to the job centre today ( something else I’ve done whilst you’ve sat on your ■■■ doing nothing ) , I know how upset about my photos you get

Yet again you & your mates ruin a perfectly reasonable thread , I asked a perfectly reasonable question , and got some very helpful replies , then you & your mates come along and spoil it
What has wether I’ve a job / or not got to do with the best route into bookers Tottenham ?
You & your mates at every opertunity try to bait me , then you wonder why you get attitude back , I think your rather lucky with your only issue with me being attitude , because if you lot ever turn up at my house attitude will be the least of your problems

Do you work, or have you ever worked, at DIRFT?
Because I do… and I can tell you exactly what goes on and it’s (not) surprisingly not as you describe and certainly not work within “a few miles”.
In fact don’t bother. I’ll obviously be wrong as you tell me about the area I live and work in, the sector I work in, how the company I work for uses rail freight and so on.

Your claim that it’s distance rail freight work would be an obvious oxymoron.I equally obviously didn’t mean a ‘few miles’ in the literal sense. But certainly not Glasgow or even Manchester to London.

Ironically I obviously was and still would have been ‘suited’ to a ‘career’ involving ‘driving lorries’ doing long haul freight movements within a road transport industry that’s worthy of the name.
Obviously including running into and out of London as part of that.
Great the road transport industry is no longer worthy of the name, it doesn’t want such drivers and I don’t need to work in it.So all good everyone is happy.
You protest laughably too much.

I’d be interested. I’ve no intention of living nearby so can’t see it ever being relevant, but it would be interesting as I drive past it regularly…if you’re willing .

Sure. Carryfast seems to think everything magically comes pre-picked and ready to deliver locally. The reality is we cover the bulk of the UK, for instance some freight brought in by train ends up back near the ports via road.
That’s the same for many of the warehouses around here. The sites are too big for ‘final mile’ type delivery, they are just large processors. Primarily we use it for Tesco clothing. It’s brought in via Tilbury on container, transhipped to rail and brought up to us where its tipped out of containers, processed, picked, loaded then trunked ALL OVER THE UK AND IRELAND VIA TRUCK to local distribution centres who will then sort out the final leg to store along with fresh food, frozen, ■■■■ etc etc. There’s another railhead in Middlesbrough which deals with non grocery stuff (kettles, electrical, diaries and that kind of thing) where the same thing happens there.
It’s as simple as that really. It’s an easy way to move a 100 containers in one go containing mainly non perishable goods from a port of entry. Royal Mail will soon have its own railhead up here aswell so according to Carryfast look out for a freight train coming down your street to deliver your post
