If you read through the threads ( it’s on the Easton job threadyou’ll see the other option I had !! I even had the option I had was to stay sat on the settee earning £0 as you are , I took a day shift job as it was meant to be a 4 am start instead of eastons 16.00- 19.00 so it was better for my health as I’m diabetic so I could get home & have a proper tea , the Easton job was also on £20k pa , whereas this is job is meant to be £40 k , I wasn’t keen on this job as it was thurs - mon , but they compromised and I’m working sun -thurs , not keen on weekend work but it does mean I’ve a day for hospital / clinic / job centre appointments without taking a day off all the time
Maybe in future instead ere of watching Susana Reid , ■■■■ all day you’ll read all the threads then you’ll have the correct information at hand before you post , you’ll even know the stobart don’t exist , they were brought by culina years ago , you’ll also of read my explanation I couldn’t go back as they’ve no depot near Grantham ( rugby )is nearest ) which according to when we had redundancies at Newark ( this was explained too you as well before ) it’s outside there allowed travelling range , I was getting redundancy until metaat Boston came up , they send me there where I left 2 week later .

Getting more bitter & twisted every day that I’ve got a job / earning a wage whereas you’ve done sfa about it , sat on your ■■■ doing nothing is down to You , not me , I’ve got a work ethic / your work shy , if you want to sit at home on your ■■■ for months doing nothing , you do that but don’t expect me to do the same !!
Nb I’d stay off here for a day / two as I’ll be posting photos of my visit to the job centre today ( something else I’ve done whilst you’ve sat on your ■■■ doing nothing ) , I know how upset about my photos you get
Alas I don’t spend much time following your tribulations on here as you think, instead after only a mere 4 four week’s sabbatical I’ve been busy recouping my time elsewhere, and I’m told work is to resume in one weeks time, so I have another week of chilling and not being on the hamster whee.

I’ve had wales / hull / London this week so not bad , but firm does a lot of c&carry work so no doubt I’ll get it once of twice a week , anyway been up at 2.15 this morning so off to bed , finding these early starts hard work , first day got up at 3 and got home at 19.30 , not recovered yet , and at moment have a 2 am start Sunday , anyway you can at least have a peaceful weekend , I’ll be sleeping !!
Screw that you would have been better staying on the jsa until you found something better

Ironically I obviously was and still would have been ‘suited’ to a ‘career’ involving ‘driving lorries’ doing long haul freight movements within a road transport industry that’s worthy of the name.
Then how come you have not managed to land a job doing that this century? You know like everyone else who wanted to do this sort of work have!

Great the road transport industry is no longer worthy of the name, it doesn’t want such drivers and I don’t need to work in it.
As per my response to you in the post above this one, might I suggest the road transport industry does not want you for reasons that everyone on here will be aware of!

To be fair there are a lot of shades of grey in that.
For example I’d prefer distance work that might sometimes mean running into and out of London, than shunting rail freight within a few miles radius around Daventry etc for the rest of my career.
I think you have proved over and over again on here with your poor and know it all attitude why you no longer have a “career” driving a lorry!
Yet again you & your mates ruin a perfectly reasonable thread , I asked a perfectly reasonable question , and got some very helpful replies , then you & your mates come along and spoil it
