I’m halfway through doing my C licence and then going for my C+E and was just wondering what is the best industry to get into to earn ‘BIG MONEY’ my goal was working towards my ADR petrol tanker licence but is there another position I should work towards if I want to earn big?
mac12:
You want big money and to drive a truck the to don’t go together, 84 hours a week for peanuts maybe.
From what I heard it depends on who you work for and to be honest as long as my family are provided for them I will double your 86 hours… I don’t want ■■■■■■■■ answers I’m looking for proper answers and with a respect towards a new rookie driver… No need for your ■■■■■■■■ if you can’t be nice!
Saying you’re from Surrey it’s even funnier [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]
Ok I have had nothing but ■■■■■ and ■■■■■ replying fair enough you might be in the game and have been for many years but stop being ■■■■■… What’s your problem? Is it that you are so old you don’t/can’t/won’t do the CPC and you know your time is up… If that’s the case do one and stop being so nasty to new comers which will probably do a much better job than you… There was no need for ANY of YOU to reply like that, it was a standard question which any NEW DRIVER would ask!!!

I’m being truthful as a new driver work on earning £6.50 per hour. How will you double my 84 hours?

Well your information is wrong as I have already got a place as a Tipper Driver on £28,500 on C licence with no experience and it’s a 10 hour day… Maybe you looked in the wrong palaces
mac12:
No license but already got a big paying job what a dreamer
If you call £28,500 a big paying job then you have been wasting your time in whatever it is your are doing. The contract I have finally got took over 500 emails and a load of phone calls but I do have it… Maybe look into a different career for yourself.
I would never work for an agency, so no mate, I go direct to companies and plead and beg my case and it’s paid off I already have a contract and still waiting to do my test.
First off, welcome to the forum I,d like to say dont worry about the other statements or comments that some of the other guys have made, but "big money " driving HGV is a dream, not reality, generally, in my experience the hours are long, the money is crap, and the rules and regs are just a pain in the arse. When all ya want to do is drive, you cant, because the roads are so rammed full of other traffic you just cant move. Wish you all the best, but if you want earn £££,s try another profession ! Incidentally how old are you ?
