hello all, getting a bit peed off in my job stuck on rigids and getting stabbed in the back by other drivers, the firm im in will let you max out weekly, obviously poa is a big factor, i dont mind maxxing out but the works hard, lots of handball and lots of politics too, just wanna know what big firms will let your max out as i know most of them stick to the 48 hour rule gospel or bank your hours to rob you the end of the month, although agency is looking tempting as i can back door into a lot of firms for a bit more money but i like stability in my pay packet, any help would be grateful
Why would you want to max out?
We don’t use POA and still get a reasonable wage.
i like taking 550-600 home after a week mate
As much as i know cant be legal to work in a Bank.
Your work has a max Hour the Week.
4On/4Off 4 x 12 Hour. Every over it is overtime and cant be paid back 1 by 1. {It wood have to be by 1:1.25 or 1:1.50)
5 Day a Week is 8 Hour a day plus Break. Every Minute over it or every Day over it is overtime.
Now explain me any different. It were hard to convince me.
Stobarts. And in fairness, you can actually make a decent chunk there even if it does involve meal allowance, bonuses etc.
heres me thinking people moan about the long hours

I can do that without having to work 84hrs to do it. Don’t have to come anywhere close.
And whats the point taking £600 a week home whenall but one of the days you’re either working or sleeping?

Drag the job out like all the grabbers do,sit on the bog for arf hour, get stuck in invisible traffic jams, run over a nail to get a pucture, join the queue at a ice cream van, they all get you a few extra quid in your wage
instead of aiming for a firm that lets you work max hours week in week out, why don’t you look for someone paying more for less??

ive applied to a few of the good payers but seens as ive only had my class 1 10 months thats the sticking point for most of them, the job i am at i do get out in the artics now and again but mainly covering busy periods or holidays, if i could get artic work all the time at this place i wouldnt move, i can live with the back stabbers and moaners, but pile 16 pallets of handball a day on top of that and its the straw breaking the camels back scenario

I do every other Saturday when I get paid for the hours that I do, and even then theres only so much you can do to ■■■■ about to make the hours up. wouldn’t you just get bored dragging the hours every single day to make the money up? I know I would just like someone said why not get the job where it pays more for less? ADR perhaps? no handball OP would love it
i dont mind a bit of handball keeps ya fit, but when your dragging ton pallets up gravel driveways and 15% slopes with a pump truck thats got square wheels and is older than you, it gets a bit tiring 13 hours into a shift day in day out, ill be crippled with back pains and joint pains by the time im 45, thats why its a good payer for class 2, but the artic lads get the same rate as us, but that jobs a doddle really is a dead mans shoes job

…the firm im in will let you max out weekly…
