Gee. That anti ■■■■ software is good.
If this is the camera just past MIRA, I used to set it off every time I passed it , thats the advantage of having a motorcycle with only a number on the back. I slowed down for the one on the other side though
I was just thinking was that you commenting on blasting past on your bike when i seen the last poster …
I should have had a bet on that …
Blue222:
Watch the speed camera on the A5 south east bound at the A444 junction.
I’ve had FOUR summonses(?) in two weeks from Warwickshire Police.
48mph, 46mph, 46mph and 47mph.
Now, I’m not a speed demon and I didn’t zoom up to the camera to hit the brakes at the last minute and speed up again. I was pottering along as you do, with a queue of frustrated drivers behind me, all no doubt wondering why I was going so slow.(!)
So as I sit here contemplating my impending visit to court, I have one piece of advice for you all…
As my colleague got flashed by the same camera last Sunday doing 44mph, please go past this camera at 39mph or it wll get you.FYI: National speed limit, single carriageway, Gatso (two flashes from behind - I didn’t see flash on any of the four occasions and I always look)
Have you seen the piccys, is it your vehicle or has some scum bag blagged your registration plate.
accident on a5 Fenny #Drayton this morning dont know if it was trucks
Big Joe:
Have you seen the piccys, is it your vehicle or has some scum bag blagged your registration plate.
That has happened to me before.
At least, that’s what I told them and they seemed happy to believe me.
Epilogue:
I went to court in Leamington Spa in October, and was made to feel like a real scumbag dirty criminal. I even had to stand in the box and swear on the bible! The “lawyer” for the police did her best to make me look like a boy racer. She even said that I was speeding in a 40 limit, which was untrue. Thankfully, my lawyer explained to the magistrates the finer points of the National Speed Limit as it applies to HGVs, and how it is misunderstood by the public at large. I had to explain how a six month ban would bring hardship upon my family.
So they gave me twelve points to look after for three years and now I [zb] myself every day when I go out in the car.
By the way, I dont drive trucks anymore, as I’m studying to be a surveyor. I hate driving my car, which I used to love, but I have to do it for my work…
Keep on truckin’. I’m still a trucker and I’ll keep on letting you all out when I can, but don’t get in my way when I’m late for my lecture at Reading Uni…I’ve set my cruise for 70 all the way…!
I’ll bet you wish you had paid £60 and took 3 stamped in the book .
No, I’d have had to appear in court for the last one anyway as it took me up to twelve points. I got discounted down to £60 per offence for pleading guilty (it’s £90 in court), plus £70 costs: total £250 (remember, I took the first as fixed penalty).
Blue…don’t u worry my son…similar thing happen to someone i know who got caught for D n’ D…for the second time…which really didn’t help…him being that of a taxi driver…worse was…his dad owned the firm…he was living at home…and he was making a good few bob…cos money just went straight in his pocket…
For about a year he was ■■■■■■…then got involved in his brothers mobile phone business…Started on his own…before he knew it…he was making 4 times more in a week than when he was driving…
■■■■ news today…is sometimes really tomorrows fortune…
this is in a reply, to the person ,who says they can not weigh
vehicles ,well sorry but we have had over here in BAVARIA
a system which does exactly that down by Munich, it weighs
the axles as they pass over and can detirmien if it is a car ,
truck even a coach, plus they have a camera which takes
pretty pictures of all offenders,
xxicelandicxx
simple solution to all this,
stick to the speed limits as in the book and you cant go wrong, go over and speed and you will get caught eventually, but if your job involves rushing about, finish and get another,
and you’re thinking about driving for birds ■■?
Is that the camera heading west bound on the A5 just before the A444 junction? Well i want to point out that its a dual carriageway not single!! It is a single lane dual carriageway as it has a barrier separating the road so if i was you i would take some photo`s of the road and fight it cause you can do 50 on that stretch of road!!
Check these out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_carriageways

this is from the first line of the post
‘Watch the speed camera on the A5 south east bound at the A444 junction’
so i would say maybe its possible that he was in fact on the single carraigeway section m’lud

how about on a friday afternoon coming over the woodhead pass toward barnsley![]()
i drive this over the woodhead alot on friday afternoons
the dizzy speed of 40 is very rarely achieved
I’ve never known anyone caught on the woodhead, althoght they’ve just had to change the signs as they technically weren’t legal. The police had to refund a couple of years worth of fines not long ago.
As for scales on M’ways, I believe they’re linked to VOSA. They won’t fine you directly, but if they see too many motors from a particular firm you may get a visit…
