Junction 23 M5, not J25.
I called for dinner at Tebay j38 today ,the steak and veg pie had gravy in no steak or veg at all ,I told the lady on the till she said it happens now and again but she would inform the manager ,no offer of anything else .i like the place and will call again as I’ve never had a bad meal before ,just don’t have the pie.
Not a huge truck stop Waller and its all the fault of Swindon truck stop ! Christ on a bike that place was bad ! I hope its improved but it couldn’t get much worse.

Im there now i wudnt eat here, a mcburneys driver went out his way to tell me how crap the food was and a bloke i used to work with is here and he said exactly the same, sainsburys food is nice though

Stracathro Services on the A90, just North of Brechin. Free overnight parking and meals that will keep ya going from morning til bedtime.
My favorite is the braised beef… piled as high as a mountain, choice of new tatties, rice or chips.
They do a half decent ruby too and proper duffs. The ladies in there are real friendly types - proper good cooking like it should be!

You won’t beat the famous Colsterworth omelette with salad.
Not a truckstop but there’s a little snack van on lynx estate in Yeovil (opposite Talon) which does the widest selection of decent food I’ve ever had
Everything from bacon rolls through to Yorkshire puddings full of a deathly cooked Sunday roast. Nothing’s too much trouble and everything is under 6 quid.

I was at Swindon truck stop today, the ham and eggs was nice, lots of ham and golden yolk eggs but I found hairs in the ham.
The toilet was covered in excrement where a knuckledragger over shot the pan.
Good sized portions of door stopper bread and butter that you can help yourself to.
The place needs a complete refurbishment to attract more drivers.
For a decent pint, there is a large pub off the roundabout or taxi to town.
