L.A.G. stands for Lambert & Arnold Geusens…really active since 1953

  3. Ateliers Germain (made bus bodies on Brossel for SNCV)

Thank you so much till now for refreshing the list…I shall prepare an alphabetical list today,
so we all can verify what we have and what we miss.

Maybe we can add addresses too

these marques made bus bodies:

  1. Paul D’Heure (Brussels)

  2. Franco-Belge

  3. Tastenhaye

  4. Vanden Plas (Brussels)

  5. Ragheno (Mechelen)

  6. Plas & Mestdagh

  7. Energie

The list is growing and that is good. I will ‘complete’ the first one today.

@Eric/Tiptop…in Beveren I only know “Bril” but feel free to add the others

Feel free to add/correct/adjust

Attention: in Belgium all names starting with “van” are classified under the second name
so van Hool is classified under the V

Thanks for the list.

Here some updates:

ABR - Familleureux
AMN - Nivelles
Bus & Car - Brugge
Denolf & Depla - Roeselare
Remi Desot - Gits
Franco Belge - La Croyère
Germain -La Louviére
Maes - Antwerpen
Stoelen - Lier
Verleure - Roeselare

Thank you! Also MOL of Hooglede (who acquired Bus & Car) should be in the list.

Are you sure we don’t mix up with car-bodybuilders? I remember VandenPlas as
the luxury version of the Rover cars

If I remember rightly, it was BMC not Rover, A-J!

You are also right…VDP made a lot of car-bodies…for different car-manufacturers but I srongly
doubt if VDP did ‘something’ on the bus- and lorrymarket

 well I’ve learnt something new, A-J: I’d never heard of the Rover VDP before! Robert

They made some bus bodies for the Belgian Vicinal circa 1934:

AB341-342 Miesse chassis
AB343-345 Brossel chassis
