quote … ‘its work involved transporting fish.’

Running to the max and more was normal on the fish wagons, especially if collecting from off the boats !

Tight schedules are commonplace in the fridge game, due to most of the work taking place early evenings through to mid morning. Not much goes on during the day except traveling

■■■■■■■■ company. I guess they gotta pay for those 750s and 730s somehow though :unamused:

No doubt the hero fraternity will be along soon to say what legends the drivers are. Crack on drive, keep her lit pedal to the metal and all that jazz

As Ovlov said, drive all day then expected to work of the card loading normally in the middle of the night and you might be loading out of 5 or more boats, that is if they are all in port at the same time.

“One driver was using three cards” :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: where did he get three?, were they all in his name?, how many hours was he doing altogether?, the mind boggles.

Boss throwing the drivers under the bus and the drivers throwing the boss under the bus.
If there were so many involved it shows the boss was pushing them.
You’re not going to get that many bad eggs in the one firm who are happy to disregard the law wilfully.

Considering the catalogue of failures I imagine the company was pushing drivers and in any case the company was letting the situation carry on.
but on getting caught they’ve sacked and disciplined drivers and sacked the TM, so to you drivers who believe your boss will back you when the ■■■■ hits the fan after you’ve done him/her a “favour” take note.

You would have thought that after the first tea an biscuits meeting they would have taken more care, wouldn’t you ■■

And that ^^ plus earning shed loads of overtime was no doubt their reason .

Nice motors though.

I was going to try and translate that but nah!!

Life is too short BB. Far easier to simply move on.

As above really due to the distances involved in thier work (northern/remote parts of Scotland to the markets in France/Spain etc) then the fish related sub-contractors/hauliers have tended to be easy targets for vosa/dvsa over the years.

Its a high value load that must get to its market asap in order to retain that value.

commercialmotor.com/used-veh … eries-2014 they are already starting to shed the fleet.

65 plate trucks there are on 200,000kms to 280,000kms. But the V8s are with full time drivers. 5 and 6 day rolling weeks.
