In my experience, when a company goes under the directors and their appointed administrators can fill their pockets at the expense of the employees and unsecured creditors.
Imagine if you were a criminal and allowed to appoint your own policeman to investigate your crimes: that’s what happens when directors appoint an administrator.
What he usually does is write to all the creditors and tell them there is no money to pay them, then sells the company back to the directors under a new name for a nice sum of money which he then pockets as his ‘fee’. The directors pay him with some of the money they took out of the company just before it went pop.
They get their business back cleansed of debt, and can then carry on until they decide to cash in again.
I’m not saying that’s what happened at Lunn’s mind, just at another company I know.

Old news. They went under earlier this year while I was over in the UK doing some work for an Immingham company my dad works for and we took on a couple of their drivers (Polish of course) and that was back in March.

Its not just the firm which you didn’t like going under.What about the people they probably owed money to and put them under as well.

Well there are a few people where I used to work who I wouldn’t urinate on if they were burning to death, I’d not hope/be glad to see them cease trading. As Renegade said, it’s always the good who suffer in these cases.
