I’ve just thought of a negative aspect on ishift!It selects too high a gear for pulling away, especially when bobtail. 3rd gear is too high to get a loaded lorry moving in my opinion, that produces a lot of heat in the clutch, so I prefer to get it off the line in 1st and show the driveline a little more sympathy.
How many gears in the Ishift ?
My 2013 Cascadia’s got 18sp Auto and that pulls away just fine in 3rd, if loaded on flatish road it goes 3, 7, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18.
Got a new one on the road yesterday with the new Detroit 12sp box and loaded, goes, 1, 4, 7, 9, 11, 12, but still trying it out 'cause there’s different settings and definitely needs more input from the driver that just point and squirt.
