I remember the first one I sat in, a mate’s rep car, and initially doubtful I was quite impressed, although did not like the wheel arch interfering with my foot on the throttle pedal.
It was also the first car I was in with a seatbelt. Again doubtful my mate told me to strap in then shot down the road and did an emergency stop. Again impressed but I still don’t wear one effectively while driving, I rely on professional attention on the road ahead to be prepared, defensive driving.![]()
