If Syria became to dangerous or shut there Borders would there be another route to Saudi or Doha as from memory and my schoolboy geography the only other route I can think of is through Iraq

There have been several posts about this, some have suggested a ship through the Suez or transiting Egypt. Most have been refuted as too difficult

Carryfast (where he gone? :confused: ) mentioned quite a while ago about researching different routes to get to Saudi etc without going through Syria , Jordan etc. Not sure how far he got with his “research” though cos he never came back to enlighten us all!! :laughing: :laughing: :wink:

I had an email from my mate, he said that he was next in line to go, that’s why I put the AFAIK bit, it’s a get out clause to stop making me look silly when Graham or someone else posts to the contrary :laughing: :wink:
