Fellas: I think we should all agree to totally ignore RAYLAV and refuse to rise to any of his rediculous and stupid comments! He is quite obviously out for a wind up, whether he thinks he is being serious or whether he’s just doing it for a larf, do not take his bait! Because that is exactly what he wants, for us all to comment back and feed his wind up fetish. Simply ignore his childish comments and with a bit of luck he will leave us all in peace.

Hope you can all abide with this suggestion; Best regards Alan (aka Alvin) Coggershall.

Quite Ashley - maybe he is someone everybody knows - if he is, it’s pretty sick

When you go into someone’s profile - what does the “Add foe” button do?

wheelnut, im 99.9% sure the early 88s were fitted with vacum wipers coz they were fitted to top of the windscreen, i think all the 89s were fitted with electric motors for the wipers if my memory is working ok, when i was with simons we had late dutch spec 89s with trilex wheels and they were registered 1977 on a r plate, regards paul

Air wipers on this one, the triangular knob to the left of the black dash at the top, they were compressed air not vacuum. and what a fight to get them going at the correct speed, either flat out and missing the screen, or hissing and stop/starting

But that’s am 88 (Isn’t it? ) I’m going to hide now!

What a great sight and how it brings back memories to see European Drivers doing internals in Saudi
I am pleased I was privileged to have done it… It is doubtful that those times will ever be repeated, as now it is all Asians working for anything between 200 & 300 GBP per month and leave entitlement is only after the completion of a two year contract.
One point worth noting, is that few of them can drive and many return home in a box :smiling_imp: :unamused:
Who said slavery has been abolished…………. :unamused:

G’day fellas,
I found some info about the white F89 and the company that ran it. They had 80 F89’s,yep 80,I reckon there would still be some kicking about in Saudi today. The article was in Heritage Commercials,it was a three part story from May/June/July.

This last pic is from a kids book that I’ve had for years and I had always wondered who owned them and where had they been opperated.

have a good look at the coach, they were trying to bump start it by pushing it. we were in kepik waiting for shift change (i think) and watching them trying to start the coach kept us amused for ages.

exmoor badger:

i’m sure someone can turn the top pic for me, its beyond my capabilities

On your scanner there should be a couple of interlocked square logo’s,click those and it will turn the picture, could be different on some xcanners.
Cheers Dave.

no need to hide sir+ that is defo an 88, an early one to with the blue trim, which would have had the air wipers, no right hand drive 89s.

Ta for that gg.I was sure I thought that maybe I knew that, but the 88/89 thing has been quite an issue at times on here.I felt safe posting at the bottom of the page   .Didn’t know about early ones having blue trim though.Nicer IMO than the ones I (briefly) drove which had brown trim.

Yep sir no need to hide, that pic was a early 240 hp no turbo model with the blue trim, the later 290s had the brown trim.
