Hi ashbarns, i dont know the answer to your question, i like you am only guessing and if i told you who i think it is i would then have to kill you. wink wink.
If it is who i think it is then i wish him all the best as i have not seen him for many years. I hope he doesnt get someone to send me an obscene phonecall for posting this, as it is all in good fun. regards jamie.A Scot Lost in the Valley’s.
Mmmm 6 - 7 foot, a bit big for a fox…
I agree but i have seen Basil Brush on the telly and he is as tall as the guy that always stood next to him.
Dave
Hi Gavin, how about the road between the emirates and Oman ? Dropping down through the pass on the Omani side of the border. regards jamie.

I don’t think it is Wadi Jizi in Oman because of the telegraph post, and all coms were by Radio.
I am more inclined to think it is Zacho Hill, albeit there is not much spillage of fuel oil so, I may be wrong…again
Hi All
Biffo sorry not Hungary.
Clue 1 If you go back to orignal photo there is more of the photo on the right if you move the slide bar at the bottom, Falcongate is doing something
Clue 2 This Place closed late 80 early 90.
Gavin’s peice of road
I do not think that this a peice of the Kavala by pass as Dave thinks, (not enought bushes !) But I am probably wrong
Also I do not think as Ashbrans does that it is Cilvegozu to Syrian Boarder never could remember the name (I seem to remember the gorge being narrower and the sides steeper but always with Trucks in it never empty)
I think that it is on the road the mountian pass from Iskenderun to Hatay on the way to Syria
Keep the Photos coming please.
Reddesertfox to easy by the way he chooses his words with great care I would think that he would rather keep his Anonymity on this site at the momnet
No you can not come to knock some sense in to me, I never had any to start with
Best Regards to All
Ian

West Germany, near the border with Czecho and the Falcongate driver is getting a plus
.
On second thoughts it’s Belgium but I am probably right about the Falcongate driver and he will be getting some cheap Kronnenburg as well .
Hi Gentlemen
Its not the bit behind Kavala,
Its not Zakho mountain,
Its not Wadi jizi,
Mr Reynolds you are correct, it is the piece of no-mans land between Bab el Hawa and Cilvegozu, heading home. I was first through in the morning empty, hence no other trucks !!
That was too easy, im goona have a root in the box for something a trifle harder.
GS
Heres Zakho mountain
Coming home, “up the down side”.
Some of you will know what i’m on about eh!!
GS
OK so how about this one ? No cheating please.!!
and this one…
Hi Gavin, is the first one the Shell garage at Al-e-barber
.
and if Tubby hasn’t moved in forty years that must be Aldgate.
Hi Mushy
Aldgate is correct, however his trailer is somewhat updated !!
GS
Updated indeed, he probably had a bit of trouble getting paraffin for his old hurricane lamps, I don’t think that there are many door to door paraffin men about now, unless the bloke in the photo is one , he certainly looks like an entrepreneur.
If he has been on the same patch for forty years no wonder the [ z.b.'s ] have clamped him.
Regards Steve

Up the down side, rather than queue, really, did drivers do that sort of thing………shameful…OK so how about this one ? No cheating please.!!
and this one…
Corner of Goulston Street - what a stink!
Reddesertfox.
And to avoid that nasty hairpin where the wheels would spin on the oil…
Mike taught me that shortcut !!
GS
GS….When you say Mike, may I assume you mean Michael John Walker, if so, then I am amazed you were driving slow enough to even notice there was a hairpin. ha ha

Hi All

… and the Falcongate driver is getting a plus.
A “plus”■■?..whats all that about then, a “PLUS”!!..plus what exactly!!!
Must be a Middle East drivers terminology!!!
Love these photos lads, keep em coming… at this rate truckerash will have to start another book!!
