Dave Poulton had a double hip opp a couple of years ago and was using a walking stick ,the last time I saw him was at Tony Soamesons funeral last year .still with the stick ,he didnt mention anything about still driving ,troll back a few pages on the Astran site you will find a pic at the Longhaull Pioners Book launch ,in the pic is Gordon Pierce ,the late Bob Paul ,Dave Poulton (,complete with stick ),Frank Hook,( film star Of destination Doha) Charlie Norton (on air bad lungs ),Kim belcher,Roger Haywood,
Im just back from Sweden ,sorting out my new pad and wont be here long,New house new country new life ,and peace and quiet cant wait,

I heard on the news last week that Iran were starting to play ball with the Americans and the UN, Over land route was the first thing I thought of. It would be a bit hilly though and still all that waiting at the Turk Iranian border, can you get through by Basrah??
Good luck on your new venture Mr Haywood youâll be able to drive one of them 6 wheeler rigids with the 13 .7 meter drag on the back. Bet you canât wait to try that ⌠lol lol.

You must have known Kevin then Gordon he was on for Hicks about that time, Unfortunately I had a bit of a run-in with him at Dover West although I cannot put a date on it. I was outbound and had done my customs and moved down to the export lane and Kevin was parked outside the shed with another driver (Hicks) and he was p####d out of his brain, I donât think that he knew the procedure at DW because he came storming over to me and me and started to threaten me and said that if I went onto the boat before him it would be the last boat that I would go on and the other driver looked most embarrassed. one of those situations that one never forgets. The next day I met up with him at Aachen and he came over and apologised. unfortunately it was one of those situations that we encountered on M/E - Effesitus.

HI Gavin yes we have just completed 2 via Iran. Got the boat from Bander Abbas south of Iran to UAE.
Im home . Eddy is back tomorrow .All went well that way. ive got some pics in Iran but ive forgot how to put them on
Ill get it sorted or email them to you. If you want to do one send me your passport and ill get you Iran visa.
Have you still got that old Volvo in England it will sell, ill give you a fridge or a trailer stack to sell also as there not
