Astran / Middle East Drivers

I’ve gone back to the old ways, I rarely eat out anymore, I make my own dinners at home, stick em in the fridge and eat decent food all week. I make curries from scratch and throw a ton of veggies in them before blending it down into a gravy, so nice and healthy and I get a colonic irrigation for free  I also do Shepherd’s Pies, stews, that sort of thing, no need to do Camion Stew mit Peaches anymore

As you say Chazzer, obesity is an epidemic here and it is so easy to succumb to it, I’ve even gone as far as buying my own animals to slaughter, so I can eat meat that isn’t full of growth hormones, got a cow hanging in the butcher at the moment and the lamb is getting a cap in its ■■■ at the weekend :imp:

Then I apologise, Kenny. Looks just like the wall behind the office at Norman Road though!

Heres a picture I’ve been asked post. It shows three South Wales based drivers on a middle east trip many years ago. We know who they are but do any of you old hands recognise them?

Hi Fred
How were your two weeks Holiday in Kapicule?

I have been put off making things up since the last tax return…but glad to read your posts.
I’ve noticed fewer people logging in to this thread these days. I can’t believe all the stories have been told there must be a few more pistons and puncture adventures out there!

Anyone remember the old notice board in the Pudding Shop in Sultanahmet!
Went there last year and they still have a photograph of the old Notice Board Pinned up and people are pinning new messages on it. I saw a notice in 1981/2 of someone needing a second person to ride a Tandem to Tehran…A bit of light hearted humour or just a genuine nutcase looking for a pal…

Trying to dig out some photo’s from Photobucket at the moment can only seem to put one on at a time.

Overtaking issue near Zahko …someone has run out of talent.

On the convoy in Syria, trust Astrans to start their own convoy. I think he was lost personally!

Can’t remember where this old fort was, I think it was near Hofuf on the left going down, someone will know.

Don’t worry about it Mick. If I tap the photo I can get your whole Photobucket album on slideshow if I want. Excellent snaps.

You’re lucky to get on Photobucket, try as I may, can’t get into my gallery no way.
There are over 600 pics of mine on there that I can’t now access.
I’ve just downloaded their latest gimmick called Auto backup, which has done precicely FA!
Still can’t upload, download or view my gallery.
Access was getting difficult some weeks ago,but now it’s ■■■■■■■ impossible.
