Almost there…read all about it in the book. Coming to a shop, news stand, internet site, truckstop, cafe, layby, and anywhere I can place it…soon!
Hi Ash, our local library has a hardbacked copy of Cola Cowboys in LARGE PRINT, I just wondered that at a later date you might be doing a few copies of The Long Haul Pioneers in large print and finding out if any of the public libraries would buy some.
I have asked here if I can get your book from the local booksellers and they have asked me to come back in a couple of months.
Regards Steve.

I wish that your brackets were in large print, I can’t read the bloody thing .
That’s all right Roger - apology accepted - hopefully Terry wont hold it against you now!!
Crikey - you lot are too alert. I was being so careful not to call my second office at Astran by the name it was known then - the cowshed (named before I went there I might add!) that I never thought anything about a ‘two storey’ bungalow… but in those days, any little space was used I guess - and we were in the attic. Hope that clears that one up!
(SCRUBBING IT) STEVE… BETTER?

For ron, sorry I gave you the wrong date, after looking in one of my old passports,my last trip with jeff was to jordon with shaving creme and toiletries,my visa states 31/7/74,so this is why we did not meet,I ran to tehran with a driver from jeffs who had a scania,I think it was a 140,his cab slipped over tihir, his trailer legs jammed in a rock, stopping him from going over the top. There was also a f89 road train driven by a maltese bloke, one of jeffs friends. Look mate: I know its been a long time coming, but I didn’t realise you had got SO old with the waiting and now need the larger print format!
Send me a quick request for the book to my main e mail address (below) and it will add your name to the mailing list, then you’ll get a message nearer the publication date with details of cost, ordering and postage etc. Looking at June for launch. I’m sure I can get one sent down to you.
Regards ASH
ron if you look at my pics in the simons thread you will see a couple of old dutch 110s jeff bought, right buckets they were, that was in 1980 he was nearly all volvo then even the 2800 dafs had all gone then,he was still buying some crap tho there was even 2 old atki borderers non sleeper from silver roadways going down to greece with the courtalds work he had 2 nutty jocks driving them, the only other scania in the yard then was canadian larrys 140 now that was a bucket!

Aidey
Your an idiot I only drove 2 trucks to the ME , and one I owned for 17years so give it a rest, read the imput properly and then form an oppion,I asked a simple question but never got an answer work that one out
Roger
I already formed an opinion the fact is roger that every thread to do with mid east on here anyone who makes a slight mistake or mis spelling of some name or other you jump on them like a ton of bricks accusing them of never having been there or done the job. The truth is roger that 30/40 years is a long time to remember all the little points. We all know you were there and got the t shirt and believe it or not i have great respect fot you blokes. Thats the reason i like to read the stories etc and yes i know some of them are just that. But lighten up a little what the hell This is a thread on forum not a court of law.
Aidey
Thats the point if one cant remember dont write ,I dont jump down peoples throat ,I ask direct Questions ,I dont want to read ■■■■■■■■ ,I know it might read like im having a go but believe me its not ,yes I was lucky to be in the era of this type of transport ,I dont boast about my exploits I question others.
So if I have upset you I am sorry .as spock would say live long and prosper
Roger
You’ve not upset me roger. You keep contributing to the threads with your tales and pics coz some of us was’nt as lucky as you. Oh and Ash looking forward to the book.
