if they are using that as an excuse, does that mean that the drivers can wilfully damage other parts of company property and use a similar excuse?
From what I’ve seen all fleets have thier share of drivers who don’t give a stuff how they treat a motor, (Make me angry aswell, especially if I get their hand me downs). They are easily spotted in a small fleet of one driver one motor, but in a large supermarket fleet where they swap trucks then the damage gets spread about.
They are also the drivers that lead to the mindless rules and regulations, because the rules are regulations are made for the lowest common denominator.
