"As as professional driver....."

And where did I say I refused the run :unamused:
It was actually a bit of ■■■■ taking by another driver because I had come from somewhere I don’t like hence the ■■■■ taking about getting another run there and the clerk stuck their nose in hence being told what I was told without actually hearing the full conversation, so congratulation TNet CSI for jumping to conclusions AGAIN :unamused: :unamused:

It didnt come across like that in the OP. So prehaps the trucknet csi may concludr you are now backtracking as you havent realy got the response you hoped for.

Apparently “as a professional driver you’ll go where I send you” as told me by one of our transport clerks whose going way above their station…
So I thought you want to go down the professional driver route do you
My reply was “as a professional driver then I’m feeling tired and I’ll go home then”, love a bit of bluff calling at this hour 'cause they haven’t got enough drivers for the work

You did actually come across as someone who doesn’t like a lot of it, as though your presence is doing Tesco a favor not the other way round.
A few other layabouts, loudmouths and 5 minute veterans gave the response you hoped for, most of us were appalled by the way you came across.

bigvern1:
Office bods don’t have a choice where they send you. The customer does though!

So true, you work for the clerk, the clerk works for the planner, the planner works for the TM, the TM works for the boss, the boss works for the customer, the customer works for his customers. Everyone works for the shareholders.

Pimpdaddy:
Does this mean us drivers now have them held by the balls or what…!?

We have always had them by the balls, unfortunately most of us are too scared to do anything about it.

so very true

it came across as a little bit of banter between drivers and office staff to me.

but my voice was drowned out by the sound of stampeding high horses

Well sorry :unamused: , but you hit a nerve with those off us who beleave we’re at work to, work, and are sick off listening to whingers who cry, when given a run that doesnt meet their personal high opinion off what they as a driver should be expected to do. :unamused:
