I’m confused, is it better to be in an artic or a rigid?Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
Duuhh keep up mate
, the thread says ‘Artic Conditions’ it could be a LOT worse, there could have been ‘Arctic Conditions’, then we’d all be in trouble.

That’s the question I was asking, artic or rigid in arctic conditions?
I realised that, but it was my feeble attempt at a (evidently crap) joke.
Answer to your question…Rigid every time.
Funny that as that was my attempt at an evidently equally crap joke.

Maybe we should become the world’s worst comedy double act?

Confession time, I’m on my second Merc since 2013, did not know that the plate came down to reveal the towing eye.![]()
…never had call to use it, despite doing farm deliveries.
Maybe been too good to get stuck eh?![]()
Ah well at least I know now if I get stuck in these ‘Artic’ conditions this week.
Things you learn on Trucknet eh?
More often than not you find that the person having to pull you off, sorry, out, knows just where your 3rd eye is!
Pulling you off, getting a tug or having a ruk still compares favourably with malaca

I came over the M62 from Sheffield this morning at about 0400. It wasn’t great at the top, and I didn’t appreciate the wind, but it wasn’t that bad.
I’m stuck on local work now until the end of the week. Again. Top ■■■■■■■ drawer.
biggriffin:
0M62 east bound, bit quite.
Very noticeable how little attention the vehicles on your left and right are paying to maintaining a safe following distance compared to yourself.
Well I’ve missed all the fun…I’ve been sat at home.
Went in Wednesday, yard full of drivers, so I was asked if I fancied going home, …my arse was out of yard before the last syllable.
Told to come in late this morning to do a Lancaster, then back for my usual Devon/Cornwall.
I discovered before I left home that the Devon had been cancelled.
I took my boy to work on my way to yard, and got my van stuck in the snow, hurt my bad shoulder when pushing/pulling it out, went into a ■■■■ rage like The Incredible Hulk, thumping the side of the van (making my shoulder worse,…and my knuckles)
I rang in and told them what had happened, then I said… ‘‘■■■■ it, I’ve had enough, I’m ■■■■ ing off home’’
Really need some anger management
I THINK I’ve still got a job, …will let anybody who is interested know.
Me this morning.

Me like they are all at a standstill
Well if I’m honest I’ve been having a blast the last two days. In Lincolnshire and it’s horrific but splendid! I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed driving so much. Diversions, snow drifts , ice rink loading.

I got back to the yard Thursday then got stood down (again [emoji23]) today. The 4 of us (drivers) went bowling instead of boring work.
Spent a couple of hours today replacing a bent rear suspension arm on my car after broadsiding into a ■■■■■■■ kerb. ■■■■■■ job but sorted now.
