Conor:
it’ll rip your arm out of your shoulder .Yeah, ok then
How do you work that out, a pre-tensioner pull the seat belt buckle down, so if the belt is under your arm, and shoulder, how does it dislocated your shoulder, also its a very small charge, not a 1ib of flipping Semtex…
Also not all vehicles have charged tensioner, they use cables, and also lots of trucks don’t have them as the tensioner is fixed tothe seat frame.

I’m 6’2 and 18 stone and I don’t find the seatbelt uncomfortable. I’m packing a little extra timber (not much) but mainly have a huge chest/back from 20 years of bench press and deadlifts. However, I don’t do long distance so maybe it would rub more in that instance.
I have a curved spine which isnt a problem or noticeable to me but it does mean my right shoulder doesnt touch the back of the seat like the left one.Its forward 3 or 4 inches and this is the cause of the discomfort.I suppose I could get a medical exemption but it might not be a clever thing to drive without a belt. Its not a problem in my car because the car belt isnt attached to the seat

Another stupid idea
I did put emojis on to suggest I was being rather tongue in cheek… and they must have been reasonably easy to decipher as Conor missed the chance to fly off at me so he understood I was baiting
I dont know/have seen people do it though. Ironic think is they’ll do that in truck but then get in their car and wear the belt normally with no quibble.

But it’ll work like the Speeding awareness course…probably for 3 years.
So…wear your seat belt

Ok,will do
was on this forum i read of the tip to wedge/glue between seat top and side of cab a 4 inch wide strip of black plastic just above shoulder height ,this when viewed from the front or side really looks like im wearing a seatbelt at all times . its saved me no end of times from getting a ticket if iv forgotten to wear one
How do you forget to put a seatbelt on? It should be instinctive and should actually require a conscious decision NOT to put it on.
Not judging anyone who doesn’t wear one btw, it’ll have no effect on my life.
I had it on but under my arm, they class that as not wearing it at all
Some top level retardedness to be found in this thread.

Fair enough, we all have minds that work differently I suppose. To me, putting my belt on is almost subconscious, muscle memory if you like. I reckon I’d expend more mental effort to actually leave it off.
This girl didn’t get any points!
Talia Roberts hit tree at 90mph with a soft tyre and not wearing a seatbelt
Darwin.
I used to share a motor with a very rotund (fat git) driver. He always fastened the belt then sat on the seat. It stopped the sensor from sounding but he wasnt wearing the belt.
