Who are this company ?. They look like they should be east european but they have uk registered tractors.
Don’t quote me because I could be completely wrong, but I thought they were an Italian firm
They are a pretty big company, originally from Italy. Have branches all over the world. The UK one is based at Tilbury.
In the hated east they have branches in SK and PL. Most of their trucks I’ve seen IT, some DE, BE, ES, GB, TR… perhaps two SK and PL.
They’re owned by the Italian Prime Minister, the same one that owns AC Milan, it used to be a very good job, but the Eastern European Curse has struck
I spoke to one of the tilbury based drivers last year & they do still go over the water, mostly for changeovers, but the odd run to Italy too, he said he was always in a different motor, but he was fairly new on there so that could explain that, he said the money was ok, mind you who admits having a crap job
lots of sk trucks not sure if they also have either ro or bg aswell not really noticed any other western european reg’s same story as any other big haulier moving east for cheap labour
Didnt these lot cut the grass under Transmec’s feet a couple of years ago, and took a lot of UK work of them??
They also came into car delivery over here, but didn’t last long.
Stu190 is the man to ask.

big Italian firm have have lots of depots in northern italy main work is flat pack kitchens from all over northern italy to uk
They have a massive depot on the Bologna ring road and have lots of SK and PL drivers. Maybe the Italiens are feeling the pinch from the east europeans.

The guy that was running Transmec in Grays apparently had a big fall out with the top brass and promptly set up Arcese down at Tilbury, took the new Holland work with him as well as a few of the best driver’s.
My mate is on there,he is one of the one’s that went from Transmec, where he’d been since the mid-90’s.The money is good, the motors are all fairly new and they run as straight as a dye.
They don’t send many UK driver’s over now,the odd change-over sometimes, but my mate has been doing the Ferrarri parts job now and again from Maranello.
They also have a depot in Maasmechelen,Belgium where they do a lot of steel from Genk to Italy, though most of that gets put on the train.

Aye pretty much spot on. Readfing between the lines things went a bit sour at t’mec and Arcese were a small firm here, and with the right people and vision it had a chance to grow, which it has
Its a UK firm running all uk motors, a few are on Iti plates with UK drivers but they go abroad anyway. Its still all family run in Italy, no prime ministers or mafia lol! (boring i know! ) All import/export work of whatever nature from machines to packaging etc…
Whos your mate KW? Will have to keep an eye out!

Would only have been the foreign guys, although part of arcese, they are not under control of the UK office. Makes life easier as they deal with their own gaffers, prob told to park up.
Arcese are Italian and they’re absolutely bloody massive - with transport interests across the world. I interviewed Paola Arcese (daughter of the founder and one of the directors) for a magazine a few years back. Their global head office is in a tiny little place called Arco (TN). Workwise, they’re heavily involved in the shipping of automotive parts for the entire FIAT Group (plus a host of other auto manufacturers). The company website is: www.gruppoarcese.com. They’ve even got a facebook page!
seen an sk regt one just before christmas at transmarc, female driving it, young lad sat on the bunk and a male in the passenger seat one way to take the family on holiday i suppose!..
