Anyone know if this was a Bentons Truck?

granthamjournal.co.uk/news/l … -1-4799754

Welcome. Just one question though. Are you the local press?

No!!

Never mind whether it was Bentons or not that is the usual exaggerated reporting . Did the reporter weigh the concrete or take a wild guess. 3x 20tons = 60tons . More ammo for the lorry bashers

it’s deffentley a mega space actros, but can’t see the no. plate, but the colour scheme on the back doen’t match benton’s colour’s.

the part above the windscreen should be marron all the way around including the back panel, the picture above doesn’t have it the back panel is silver and looks the correct shade of silver, but it should have a 2foot marron panel at the top
as for the reg plate, benton brother truck’s have the last 3 digit’s are BBT, but i don’t know if it’s been sold on with the plate.

Looks grey and red ala Massey Wilcox from Devon way.

Definitely a Cactros.

Ken.

Thanks Phil, you certainly know your trucks. See you at Truckfest, I hope.

this looks like a greedy manufacturer wanting 2loads on one truck, without consideration towards the haulier or driver

I think he loaded them out of Truro, apparently there is a shortage of flat trailers in that area!

looks like they’re putting the berlin wall back up !

I used to be a wide load attendant out of the yard at Grantham. Miss the job, but life goes on.LOL

Welcome Lizzie, if you are who I think you are will Ted be going to Truckfest with you lol

I am no longer on the road, but will be at Truckfest on my stand.

Good news,no action to be taken against driver or company  ,incident is just being investigated as a damage-only road traffic collision,so cop says

I passed a plain white actors pulling a Bentons trailer on the A46 s this morning with the same kinda load with a s** t load of straps on :exclamation:
