Anyone for a Big Mac

Thought he’d give a McDonald’s driver thru a go in an artic…

Other side

I’m assuming you took these pictures AFTER you’d offered to help him out.

Or did you just steal them from another media and post them here for a jolly?

I assume you’ll be saying the same thing next time someone else posts a driver who’s hit a bridge or got stuck somewhere? Or is it just because you’ve got a dislike for me?

Even I was there, which I wasn’t, I say any artic driver that gets that far into a drive thru is beyond help anyway.

I make a point of not disliking anyone, you included. I dislike your “holier than thou” attitude and constant whining about what you see on the roads.

Every single driver on the roads, myself included, is one brain ■■■■ from cocking up big style. IME, those who think they’re above such things tend to ■■■■ up worse.

Every single driver is capable of crap driving (me included), IME those who brag about how good they are simply dont see the crap that they do or blame others.

Every time I read your (and certain others) posts, those two things go through my mind.

We’ve all had a brain ■■■■ every now and again, where no one was hurt and you can laugh about it later

I’ve done worse than that.

Got to admire his laziness and also his optimism

Absobleedinlutely, i can still vividly recall instances where had circs been even slightly different things wouldn’t have turned out so well.

Anyone who thinks that by their skills alone, without a decent helping of luck, they have managed to get through hundreds of thousands or millions of miles without a major mishap had better think on that their luck might just be about to run out, and all the skill in the world isn’t going to save you if your numbers up.

Having said that, if you’ve driven up a tiny road in a bloody artic and find that you have to go field way i would hope most here would stop and have a think and see what the score is before carrying on regardless.

Don’t know who took the pic, but if I’d been there I’d be trying to help the lad back out, rather than taking the pic in the first place, and then be putting the pic of his epic balls up on whatever site. :unamused:

As said,.we’ve all done stupid bloody things in our time, me included, and some more stupid than others.

Hitting a bridge (as pointed out by our resident driving hero and road safety correspondent :unamused: ) is just downright carelessness, and a bit different to a bit of a balls up taking a wrong turn to somewhere you shouldn’t be.

I nearly did something similar.

Needed diesel and only had a BP fuel card. Saw a local services which was BP so went in.

Wasn’t obvious which way artics were meant to go. The car way in looked a little dodgy so I assumed up further was a truck entrance. Turned out I was wrong.

Found myself with cars behind me and a tiny mcdonalds lane in front. More cars were coming up behind me and I was starting to sweat a bit. Cars horns started going and they were not impressed.

In the end I managed to reverse back and reverse into the truck pump area (whcih was the same exit for the cars coming out of the petrol station). It wasn’t very nice for me tbh. As soon as a tiny space opened up cars starting pushing past to get their McD’s. The garage had an overhang on the building I couldn’t see with a lock on and I needed to get in and out to check. And even then I was so tight to the building I couldn’t get out until the truck went off the pumps and I could shunt it over to the pump.

It was a ■■■■ up on my part. But I thought I’d done pretty well to get out of it with no damage.

Similar to when I was driving for Tesco. Went to Salisbury Metro. Which in itself was not nice (those who have done it will know what I’m talking about). But on the way out read the risk assessment wrong and went into the carpark. Was faced with this: google.com/maps/@51.0741468 … 312!8i6656

Not knowing the bridge height I genuinely had to get out and compare it to the height of my trailer. I ended up not hitting the bridge but had to again reverse out with loads of cars behind me. Which wasn’t a lot of fun.

Either I’m realtively normal in sometimes messing up or you lads are beyond perfect. Personally both times I think I did well not to cause damage and didn’t beat myself up too badly.

Thing is though, was this a genuine ballsup or did he just not give a ■■■■? Even a newbie would know you ain’t getting an artic round there

I see you had another dream you must have a nap during the day, fairyland the land of make believe

You have to admit though, that is one “Ball’s Up”.

ffs he cant’ve been that hungry

Unburgerlievable :unamused:

I bet the manager had a bit of beef with him.

People will do anything for a delicious Mcdonalds

I have had my fair share of ■■■■ ups and brain ■■■■■ in a truck, certainly not Mr Perfect but can defiantly say that I would never consider trying to take an artic through the drive thru. Thats just next level stupid, was he alcohol tested?

I’m impressed he got in so far to be honest.
