Is there an easy way in to Manvers Way Ind area from the A1 with a 15’ high artic? I know I can’t get in through Mexborough or Swinton due to the bridges but I’m wondering if you can come along the A630 at the bottom and then cut through Kilnhurst on the B6090 and then up through Wath? Anyone know if that’s an okay road and no weight restriction?
At the moment I’m coming in off J36 M1 and along the frikkin nightmare road aka the Dearne Valley Parkway and those rbts REALLY ■■■■ ME THE [ZB] OFF . Whoever designed that road needs shooting.
Off A1 at j37 Barnsley road keep going over roundabouts till you come A6195 turn left to next roundabout turn left again and that will drop you into wath. That’s the best way from A1

That’s no good if you’re coming up from south alex, which I am.

I think you need to have a look at a map !! Coming up from south and off at 37 must add a good 20 miles onto the run.
If 36 and through Kilnhurst is no good, what about coming off M1 at 34 and up Centenary Way through Rotherham and up the 633 to Wath that way? I’ve not got my bridge height atlas to hand - any restrictions that way?
As I was talking about the A1 I thought you were on about 36 on there. I’ve already said I came off at 36 on M1 but it’s a PITA with the 3,000,000 rbts. Anyway I will await a local to reply here as you clearly aren’t one but thanks for your input.
Well I am an was going to put same as jessica dad but u, already decided it wasn’t good enough, it seems every route is too challenging for you take a helicopter it will be a more direct route fo r you
Where you goin, Tesco, Ventura? Kilnhurst way is all over bridges, no unders , cant be weight limit as plenty heavy firms up that way.
Know what you mean about the piggin polo s, cambers wrong on every single one of 'em.
Rob come off at J33 turn towards rotherham then at next roundabout turn left for Rotherham, next rounabout turn right for Rotherham, next roundabout straight across, next roundabout straight across, then come off next roundabout signed Greasborough, at next roundabout turn right then next roundabout turn left and then you are in Parkgate but the right side of the low bridge follow road up through Rawmarsh straight over first roundabout then at next one take second exit off for Wath-upon-dearne follow this road down to bottom (careful spped camera’d outside wath comp) straigt over large roundabout then over mini roundabout and that takes you to next roundabout where its right for Next, DBC etc any further advise just ask. We used this route from Cepac at back of Ventura all time with tall trailers - hope this helps and I did used to be local upto 18months ago
Having said the above though it only saves about 5 minutes if you don’t get held up all time. The roundabouts were put all way down 6195 to stop idiots racing cars up and down it - so we were told in local press when road was opened, The easiest route is M18, A1(m) though it will definately be more distance wise the time saving going through Rotherham is only 5 minutes depending on the time of day
He said come off at 34 never been that way JamesC and from what I remember Greasborough is well signed, don’t know road names it was always too dark to read road names
Out of curiousity James as I havent been on that stretch of road for awhile going into Rotheham have they sorted the subsidence out used to be like driving on a roller coaster track
