Great pics mate, those Roadtrains are early, on V-plates, would’ve been TL12 powered. Texaco also had some on V reg i think.

looks like union road oldbury oil terminal,with kings steel the otherside of the rail line.

Great photos love atkinson nearly fainted when i saw it just like the one my dad drove when he worked for sammys between 1960 / 67 which when he passed away his name was ron pickman. thanks again)

I remember Sammy’s well,worked there for 15 years,the last 4 on the TIR run,also knew Alan Frost and Ron Pickman

Has anyone been reading about Samuel Williams & Sons in the “Heritage Commercial” magazine? It started a couple of months ago,then missed a couple of issues but now it’s back in the December one :smiley:

best return load i ever had out of dagenham dock :smiley: three of us had tipped loads of parkgate steel on the docks (export) dave parkin erf harry featherstone merc & me with my dennis maxim :slight_smile: loaded out of a coaster 4 strip coils each for reynolds at leeds 21ton :blush: about 1969 with len greens :grimacing: revman (alan)
