That big bloke is none other than me and I must say that I’ve never been accused of being “nutritionally challenged” (slim I aint) I’ve put another pic in tha post now of Mark & Keith, Mark just having set an incredible lap & race record on my “ickle TZ” at Aintree.
I’ll see if I can find any other decent bike related stuff for here.
Ross.
This racing game isn’t always straightforward, Mallory Pk Thundersport test day 2008 was ‘one of those days’!!!
In the background are Ade Martin & Richard Shepherd, son of ex GP racer and 70’s tuning legend Terry Shepherd.
~This is what it looked like with it’s ‘clothes off’
Ross.
PS, I still love racing in the rain, the heavier the rain the better

Thanks for that. I am going to include that picture in our local bike quiz if you don’t mind.

I’m co-ordinating a run down to this event from Scotch Corner/Leeming Bar services if anyone is interested. the plan is to ‘snowball’ along the way i.e. meet-up with other groups en route.

last year a lot of people said the new R1 would run off with the S/Stock title & it got a proper gubbing by Suzuki…
An R1 did at the first round before a certain little Irishman named Seeley swapped to a Suzuki, in truth there were only two riders in the frame for the Superstock championship and I doube the make of bike they were on had much influence on the outcome. I recon had Steve Brogan been on an R1 he would still have beaten the rest of the field in exactly the same manner as he did on the Padgetts Honda, watching Steve at Snetterton and the way Seeley’s Suzuki pulled away on the straight I know exactly how he felt. Alister can only weigh about 9 stone!!
Ross.
Brogie wouldn’t have done it on an R1, and neither would anyone else. Brands GP is the exception track. They were utter ■■■■■ bikes this year. The hype was so far from the truth. With the BMW, the hype is real, whether they stay together is another thing.
Regarding that 2004 incident, it’s still being deliberately hindered from getting to the inquest stage by certain people who may be shown to be pretty inept by the result. Bloody disgusting. I really don’t know how they sleep at night!
