Another "training provider"

Seems like another Broker has recently reared their ugly head,  " DRIVE AND EARN", seems they are offering us the world at one of their DSA training centres, more bull from nothing more than a sales centre.

driveandearn.co.uk/about-us/

We have professional trainers from the DVLA who help individuals pass their practical test and gain their licence

DEFFO A BROKER and not a very well informed one !!

Oh dear - here we go again!! Clearly a broker and, as Rog says, not very well informed.

All our training centres are DSA approved

Ask them to prove it. With only a handfull of DSA approved centres in the country, it’s not at all likely.

With the LGV Cat C/ HGV class 2 licences you will be entitled to drive a rigid bodied vehicle which is over 3.5 tonnes to 7.5 tonnes.

Shame their CAT C licence is limited to 7.5 tonnes!

A rigid boxed type vehicle is mainly rigid Lorries and is mostly used in the UK for shop deliveries. It is also smaller and easier to handle than an average large lorry.

HELP. Don’t understand that at all!

As a qualified LGV/HGV driver your earning potential will be anything from £350 per week to £550 per week.

As an LGV/HGV Class 1 driver your earning potential will be anything from £600 per week to £750 per week

I’m confused!

All of our trainers are DSA approved

Prove it!

We have professional trainers from the DVLA

What a lot of nonsense!

All our training centres are DSA approved

This statement is in the PCV section. Very clever, as there is no such DSA approval to be had!

If anyone chooses to use these brokers in the face of all this, I wish them all the best!!

Buyer avoid and head on to Chevron! You got me through my cat C and I’ll back back to add the +E!

I’ve just checked the ā€œADR DRIVING COURSEā€ tab on their website.

Let’s just say that they’re NOT on the SQA list of approved ADR providers, so that really should ring a massive alarm bell because they’re offering something for which they’re NOT approved. :open_mouth:

Shouldn’t someone report them to trading standards or summat? Its all bullshine !! Even all the photographs are fake heavily Photoshop edited nonsense! Its fraud plain and simple. All they will do is take your money. They should go into the website design business instead!

Look at the driver cpc logo. It should have their approved centre number underneath (that’s one of the conditions of using the logo) but they seem to have forgotten it. Oh wait a minute - - they’ve forgotten to become a cpc centre! That explains everything.

This is a scam. Not only is it a scam, it’s a remarkably shabby one. It’s an insult to people to understand the industry. The sadness is that innocent people will be taken in and possibly loose vast amounts of their hard earned.

It’s high time this nasty business was stopped. If they were honest enough to say they are a broker (they do almost say it) and not make false claims, I could live with it. But this is just another load of misleading advertising.

I suggest everyone rings them on their 0800. Will play havoc with their phone bill!

Didn’t we have a list on another post (can’t find it) naming some of the brokers around at the minute, pity we can’t have it as a sticky on this forum to warn potential drivers who to avoid.

Do you mean this sticky - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=30889 - post number 2

That’s the one, Rog. Can’t it have an obvious heading and be in a prominent place? Needs updating a little.

I think the ā€˜management’ have gone as far as they dare with this issue

Coming out and blatently say something like - do not go to these for training - would probably get them into hot legal water

The title of that thread does ask the readers to read before deciding

The main problem seems to be those who do not do research such as visiting sites like this one before booking

Well I know I run nice clean trucks…but imagine what conversation I have had with this companies MD when I SAW MY TRUCK on their website complete with our name and logo, admitted it is one of our old trucks we no longer have, they now have seven days to remove it as my next conversation with them is through my solicitor

All the best Rick

Nice one Rick - these Liars rely on false promises, photos of vehicles they don’t own ( oh yes they don’t own any :unamused: :unamused: ) any any rubbish promises they hope people will believe, everything they say on this website - apart from the phone number - is pure fiction and I hope pointing it out on here will deter genuine newbies from going there.
