And so it begins...........Class 1 Learning Curve

nice one russjp - just make sure you stay safe & legal - we all have to start somewhere

Cheers ROG - just update you on the Allinsons situation - spoke to the guy again and the job i went for fell through but hes asked me to keep ringing regular for when a vacancy comes up - and now id be going with experience

Well done mate as you say it might not be the best job out there but the main thing is the next job you apply for you will have some experience behind you.

Good Luck and most of all stay safe and learn how to say β€œNO” if the need arises as better to be10 minutes late in this world than 10 years early for the next one as my old boss used to say as no load is so urgent as to warrant an accident. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Well,i`m 2 days in and its fantastic ! Sent me out on wednesday morning with a driver trainer, picked up our unit ( 55plate Scania R500 ) and trailer and headed off to liverpool to do 3 drops and then up to blackpool for another drop finishing with a collection of cages at Asda Wakefield then back to the yard after a 14 hour day :open_mouth:

Lots of reversing to do in this job and i`m really grateful of the help and guidance my trainer is giving me as there have been some really tricky places to get in to.

Back in this morning for a delivery to Sainsburys at Stone and then a collection at Lockwoods in Ripley to pick up 26 pallets of frozen mushy peas :open_mouth: which we bring back to boroughbridge. After dropping the trailer we take the company car and our unit to Scania in Thirsk and leave the truck for service - back in tomorrow and then out tramping on my own next week when ill be taking the camera and taking some piccys
