Always complaining about others!

Rhythm Thief:
Blimey, this forum. Every thread ends up as a willy waving contest between two members, all over the smallest thing*. I swear if you posted a thread entitled “I lik eto look both ways before crossing the road”, someone would argue with you and ask “where the hell are they getting pedestrians nowadays?”

*all puns intended

+1

Glad someone else notices these things!

Double post, sorry.

Double posts…missing out letters…only one lane on a motorway…must be a perfect driver!

Very rich coming from you,

How many lanes are there then?

it’s alright complaining about everyones ability too drive, but how do you fix the broken driving standards is a more pressing question.

It is a regular thing on this forum.

So are the opinions of some self righteous holier than thou member who blames the lorry driver in every conceivable accident.
Take the halo off your head and shove it up your arse before you dazzle us all.

Get the ■■■■■■ told drive

albion1971:
Just the sort of response I expected.

the thing is…every one of your posts is based around the same theme.i.e criticizing the very people who make up this forum. :bulb:
so you can`t really expect to start a thread and receive serious input :bulb: :bulb:

you say you are massively qualified, but iv`e never seen you offer any advise when it is asked for…or get involved in the more light hearted threads.

you get out what you put in …albion :bulb:

Easy, test everyone every 5 years and more rules on a minor points accumulation process building to a short driving ban when exceeding points limit, all monitored by operators via cctv on minimum wage and paid for when you pay to get your driving points removed…

This I pray will never happen, but you never know

I’ll catch this. Makes no odds how many lanes there are. Usually 3 but makes no odds how many there are

You are quite right what you say.I admit they are based on the same theme because it really gets to me when I see bad driving especially from so called professionals.
I would far rather come on here praising lorry drivers but I really think standards are pretty poor these days and that is my opinion which is backed up from a lot of friends and others I speak to.
Yes I was involved in training of all sorts for about 20 years and I learned an awful lot during that time.I have offered advice quite a few times but most of the time you get a derogatory response.
Also some of the questions asked are simply things any decent driver should know already.(again poor standards)
To be honest I get a far better response on the bike forums and find it far more interesting than some of the guff on here.
Sorry just my opinion. Will lorry drivers get better?..definitely not with some of the attitudes on here.

maybe you just don`t like lorry drivers…eh albion

I tell you what I reckon I’m a lot better than a lot off drivers I see but no where near as good as some. That gives me the right to ■■■■■ about what I dislike about other road users and learn from my mistakes by watching others. But who really gives a ■■■■?. Some threads on here like what do we all dislike about other road users, what’s your pet hate etc are made if anything just to make a conversation and to all join in with our thoughts instead off being so serious on here all the time, it doesn’t mean we all comment on other road users because we think the sun shines from our arises. I have faults but I think it’s a good thing it keeps me on my toes the day I’m perfect is the day it’ll all go ■■■■ up for me. Remember Albion familiarity breeds contempt. I hope I’m never as perfect as your good self.

It’ very much depends on my frame of mind as to how I drive,if I’m happy in myself then I’ll do all the right things ,if things are getting on top of me then I’ll take it out on whoever is nearest me,truck driver, car driver, shunters,t.o bod, anyone really.

my bad habit is getting angry with cyclists riding on the road when there is a perfectly good cycle lane at the side of said road maybe you can explain albion 1971 why they do that

Probably will have something to do with crap unprofessional lorry driver throws rubbish from his/her window making cycle way hazardous resulting in cyclist being forced onto the road.

I can think of 2 good reasons.

  1. That cycle lane is poorly maintained, it’s full of road grit & broken glass etc. Your council created it because your central Government gave it conditional grants to do so. After pocketing the £money it has little interest in it.

  2. I taught my lad (+ quite a few other 16yr olds) to ride a moped, they were taught to arrogantly ‘own’ the lane, not skulk at the side of it. This is as important to a 30mph moped as it is to a 20mph psyclist (I hate pushbikes). You are literally forcing a passing vehicle to ‘think’ about their overtaking manoeuvre & not simply brush past you.

Ah yes +2. Although in their defence in Oxford City, one minute the cycle lane is part of the road, then there’s the green “squash lane” then the cycle lane goes back on the path then disappears altogether. I noticed yesterday that if you follow the cycle lane exactly, you ride an erratic course where you appear and disappear in passing traffics’ mirrors.

And why do the Lycra crowd feel the need to ride two abreast and have a chat especially on narrow roads :imp:

Very rich coming from you,

How many lanes are there then?

1 and the other 2 are overtaking lanes

But usually 3, sometimes 4 and occasionally 5.
