Been driving the only one of our 4 artic units without working aircon all through the hot spell and its horrible, and this is at night. However i wouldn’t defect it as few bosses seem to want to fix it by previous experience, esp when its the radiator.
Windows are alright but with both open and sunroof its still daftly hot, and then theres the traffic jams. Plus cant hear the radio which makes it disgraceful.

Is it really asking to much to have working aircon?
If you are only 50 , the man was on the Moon before you were born and the first heart transplant , ditto.

Some of the warmest night time temperatures on record during the 90’s were still less than 75 fahrenheit 
and I always wore jeans and cotton vest and t shirt under the firm’s evil man made fabrics uniform winter and summer.The most confortable cabs without air con were those like the DAF 2800 and Merc SK with their old school opening ‘quarter light’ windows which could be turned into the air stream directing it at you.Although unlike the DAF’s great geared type ones which followed the design of old school American cars,from memory the Merc’s relied on just the friction in the hinges to keep them open and which couldn’t out do the airflow trying to force them back like many of the flawed car type ones in the day.
While the DAF 85 and Volvo FL10 among others were like green houses in that regard and I’d guess the reason why other modern trucks like modern cars are also such evil things to drive without air con.IE too much glass area and not enough of it open able let alone capable of being turned into the air stream like quater lights could.

Some truly epic air con fails…the one with a genny strapped to the boot has got to be one of best…

I don’t like A/C another thing that can go wrong.gimmie a 30 year old Celica with wind down windows and no AC over a 5 year old car with all the gadgets any day.
Your Seddon Atki borderer will be in the yard on Monday , please tell us on Friday it was a better drive and you want to keep it !
