Don’t forget Dave…they have ’ other irons in the fire ’ and ’ it suits their lifestyle '.
You cant beat watching the AA winch your 12 year old Daewoo, while your two kids ask ’ Why don’t you get a proper job Daddy? One where you have regular work and our friends don’t take the ■■■■ out of us,because we look like tramps and our car keeps breaking down? ’
’ Its not all about money kids ‘…’ Flexibility is important-like being able to pick you up from school '.
’ Yeah, but Mums sick of supporting us Dad,and besides…its the AA who actually pick us up you useless tw*t '.
’ And get some glasses with thinner lenses & wash your hair, you are embarrassing us '.

Sure we have the cream of the crop agency folk on this forum who delusionally believe they can cut the mustard full time but untill they get a proper job to me they are just pretenders living phone to mouth
14 years and no proper job your driving must be hilarious,
Plugster:
most are on agency because they cant hold a regular job, and cant afford 23p for a bar of soap
See you folks. Been nice knowing you or at least some of you unlike the [zb] above. You two and contraflow can enjoy giving yourselves a reach around without me…
o no not again conor, i thought the last time the smoking monkey called you out you were going, still i suppose every ■■■ has his rock to climb under, just dont forget ya tampons, your toys and your dummy

We bite too easy yet it’s you that’s telling everybody about your dad’s car?
Oh the irony.
See you cant resist
but ill give you one thing. I drive it home in hi vis.

" that’s where the bitterness comes from " PMSL!!
I think you are mixing up gratefulness with bitterness mate. For example; 6.30 am. I arrive in the Beavermobile and greet fellow superior full timers. 6.38 am. 52 plate mondeo comes into the carpark. Man with limp hobbles over to us. Hair full of grease and clutching a Lidl carrier bag.
Its not a good look! I know you choose to look and drive crap, and its your choice at the end of the day,but don’t talk to full-timers unless invited to do so.
Its rude.
Interesting discussion. Maybe the hierarchy goes like this:-
Directly employed artic driving supreme Gods - rulers of diesel Valhalla
Directly employed rigid driving Demi God (only if 6 wheels and really really long overhang)
Agency artic drivers
Agency rigid drivers
7.5 tonne “drivers”

Thats a good point, why is it the agency folk on great money drive crap motors and look like worzel gummages (prolly showing my age now) poor relation.
Perhaps they pick up a decent weekly wage twice a year when the proper drivers are on holiday and have delusions of grandeur.
If I turned up in my Range Rover Evoque one of you full timers would only clobber it with your poxy little chavmobile.
I am not wearing my tweeds to sit in your pi55 and sweat stained tin cans.
My hip is buggered from years of carrying my wallet around.
I really do my best not to make you plebs look/feel inadequate but its bloody hard sometimes.

Maybe you should get a little trailer for your Range Rover evooke to carry your wallet.

Nice idea James old chap but I really don’t think a towbar on a Bentley is the done thing, anyway it would mean putting my hot young chauffeuse through her trailer test, she only passed her car test because the examiner was too busy admiring her assets to notice her knock the local bobby off his bike. Took a bit of straightening out I can tell you, both him and his bike, had to assure him that I’d let him and his old mother stay in their cottage for the rest of their lives and even put in a ramp for his wheelchair.
James the cat:
If he got off his soapbox a bit and could make his point without getting angry we’d stop ribbing him
Exactly. He can’t though. He can’t control his emotions. It’s one of his many traits that make him unemployable.

Going full time was the only way I could get regular money. I think it was because of my age (24) and lack of experience (less than a year) meant I was not getting the oddles of work I was promised on agency. Maybe in 5 years time, I’ll go back on agency and be snowed under with all the work.
Yes, I think, none of us should forget how lucky we are and remember a leg injury and inability to have normal social interactions with other adults can strike at any time.

Even I’m starting to think this is all getting a bit harsh.

Posts like this that show its the oppersit of what the “full timers” are slagging agency off for. The decent, clean, employable drivers on agency treat it as a full time job but on decent pay. Booked out for week plus at a time in advance getting paid what a full time tramper gets fot max hours but for only doing 45-50 hours and home every night. Free to move on if the jobs crap and time off when ever needed or wanted. Thoose who cant get solid work end up taking full time work were ever offered on any pay offered as their stuck and forced to by bills etc. and at a guess where the bitterness comes from.
Not sure what you are implying but I never got regular work on agency. I never smashed the wagons up or mucked out. Least now I can wake up knowing I have work and I will get paid at the end of the work. Yes its not as much as I could be earning on agency but I like the security.
I am in the middle working on agency tomorrow but got a full time job but normally when I work on agency every second weekend I get paid less per hour than my full time job
With full tax & insurance deducted, one wonders “Why bother then”?
