I done some work for an agency and i done 14.5 hr shift and was ment to be paid today. I looked in the bank and there was nothing so i rang them up they said im getting it tuesday and im only getting 8 hours. i got a print out on my digi card will this provide enough proof to get acas involved.
my route was
Fradley ws13 -
street somerset
yeovil
then back to fradley
there was traffic on the route also
and i see on my print out it has a ? with 4hrs on what does that mean
Between midnight and 04:00 your card was not inserted in a machine - thats why theres a ? for 4 hours. You said it should have been driving time. Why were you driving without a card in the machine?
What time did you start and what time did you finish? That’s the only information that’s important. If you went direct into Tesco Fradley then they’ll have you logged in and out regardless of what your tacho says. Take it up with the agency, tell them your start and finish times and ask them why your pay will be short, and why it’s going to be late.
it was for n s clarke on fradley park and i started at 5am finished at 6:45pm
i sent my timesheet into best connection on the 15th and they are saying its because it wasnt signed by n s clarke but there is no body there to sign for things as its just a yard no offices
Before posting printouts, or anything else for that matter, it’s a good idea to remove any personal information, like the top of the printout for instance
cant see the printout but 0500-1845 is 13.75 hours?
take off a break you should be paid for 13 by said agency - if you are unlucky and the firm take 2 break or an hour off adjust accordingly, but dont take 8 hours for it.

deleted the printout for reason stated above thanx for all advice (newbie driver)
Always make sure your entire shift is recorded on the digicard by using a manual entry for those bits where you have not put your card in yet, or have popped your card, but find yourself hanging around the yard for another couple of hours doing “other work”. If you don’t, it’s easy for employers and agencies alike to seize upon an opportunity to “pay you only for the bit on the card”…
I see 0500 - 18.45 as 13.45 where did the 75 come from ? then take your break off of 13.45 and its still more than 8 hours seems like theyre trying to shaft you, unless they are having trouble getting the money from Clarkes cos the time sheets wasn’t signed, not your problem if theres no one there to sign them.
I had something like this once, and while not agency I had a customer who owed me serious money. In the end I told them were it not settled by such-and-such a date I would be visiting their office, parking myself in one of their chairs and not moving until they’d sorted it. They paid before I had to, but you could try the same, if you are prepared to follow through on any threats/promises.
Absolutely do not accept these parasites’ attempts at paying you a flat 8.
I had a email or letter regarding unsigned time sheets with Best Connection think it said
Something about full payment will be withheld until a signed time sheet or evidence is received this was back early this year as I’m no longer working for Agency as I decided I’d had enough and decided to take secure full time job instead of working for these parasites due to issues like this all I can say is keep on at them and stand your ground ! Don’t give them any leeway in the end u have done the hours so u have earned it what about contacting N S Clarke about getting a signed time sheet from them ?
obviously your card has their unit on it so ask them what they paid agency you probly find that its just the agency tryin it on in which case go to clarks get the said sheet signed then back onto agency with the promise of a solicitor not threat, getting involved, this usually does it its happened to me mate just dont accept anything other than the full amount owed
