I followed a mammoth major very similar to this back into Bradford last sunday afternoon it was a C reg in 2 tone blue with a red chassis i think it had a Park Royal cab and i noticed west yorkshire on the door but couldn`t see whereabouts it was from.Anyone know anything about it.It was probably on route from the Trans Pennine run at Harrogate and the way he was going down the hill into Apperley Bridge he had great faith in his brakes

Hiya…I know you lads have a pritty good idea to find your way around these computers
but theres always a ■■■■ and cranny you can miss…if you click onto google… then find
images at the top of your screen click on that… then type in AEC mk5 mammoth major
(or any make and model of truck) in the box and you will find many photos of said lorry.
Theres a photo of Alan firmin 8 legger and trailer and a Federated wagon and drag.

This was my Mercury taken in 1972. The building in the background was part of the Co-op industrial complex which still employed a large workforce at that time. The load came from Liner Machinery Gateshead also long defunct. regards kevmac47.
Great photo Kev. Had many a load from the Liner in the 60s, allways for the docks , Gladston at the Pool, loveley place to get pi—d off, but they were good loads, no sheeting eh. happy days Regards Larry
Its just come to mind Muats first depot was in Conhope Lane Benwell I think they were beside C&Es Auto Electrics workshop, that was the 60s, Regards Larry.
