Silly question but one than once I’ve pressed eject instead of the mode on the digi tacho and had to go thru the process of ejecting the card and then reinsertion, is there a way of cancelling the eject mode or must I pay the price for pressing the wrong button !

Make manual entry and explain what happened = no problems
I doubt your not the only person to do it. Just let it eject, then push it back in. I doubt enough time will have passed to require a manual entry

Yeah do that as matter of course thanks , just wondered if instead of actually ejecting I could take a step back?
There’s no way to cancel the card ejection once it’s started, but as said just push the card back in immediately and if necessary put a manual entry of other work into the tachograph to cover the time the card was out.
I did it the other day!!

Cheers have done all of the above in the past but now know can’t avoid it so thanks to all.
Just put your card back in and stop flapping.

Ha ! If only you knew ain’t got a good flap in me!
Ive always said that it should be a double press to eject the card lost count of the times Ive done it
Done it a fair few times myself… double press would be a good idea
Does it actually matter?

who cares? not exactly a hanging offence, once its "accidentally " outfor a few hours, and reinserted upside down, then its a reasonable debate from time to time. its amazing how often you can inadvertantly make that mistake when polishing your cab.
Perhaps you’re not cut out to be a fast jet pilot after all!

Thanks.
Did it twice this week, buggered if I’m going to do a manual entry it’s only out for a couple of seconds, shouldn’t put the buttons so close together.
I eject mine regularly to show people my photo, we have a laugh then I put it back in, I worry more about whether our lass has put cucumber on my cheese sarnies rather than beetroot

I’m surprised your employer doesn’t have something to say about that if it happens regularly.
According to (Pages 145 - 146) Enforcement Sanctions Policy it’s an offence for both the driver and the operator.
