Aberdeen Angus catches a piss head

I would question the Aberdeen bit when he was an owner driver he was based in Kilmarnock and he speaks more with an Ayrshire twang than Aberdonian. Eddie.

Aberdeen Angus just flows off the tongue a bit easier than his other aliases. They usually contain some words that i don’t understand.

Angus McCoatup.

I saw this on telly when it was shown, a fine advert for Midlothian Rate Slashers I thought. :stuck_out_tongue:

You’d need a good drink in you to drive for MRS or JBT whatever they are called nowadays

Only 150 quid fine and 18 month ban.

Crazy

dar1976:
Only 150 quid fine

Well fines are related to one’s income…

Ok point taken. But 18 months seems a little slim considering he was in control of an HGV

I thought it was harsh, considering he’d probably been doing the same for the last 30 years and no-body ever seemed to have noticed.

You’d be quite happy to meet him coming the other way down a single carriageway in 18 months time■■?

lol class.

This job is enough to drive anyone to drink.

Well, actually it was a joke, hence the Smiley

It does on the face of it, but then again some folk get similar bans for incidents resulting in actual death. Also, I don’t think that takes into account the tea ‘n’ biscuits chat with the local TC.

Limeyphil made a very good point a couple of months ago when we were discussing something similar.

If you are a layabout with a crack cocaine habit who has never done a days work in his life, or a heroin addict who funds his habit by burgling decent people’s homes at night while they are asleep, then the State will fall over itself providing you with rehabilitation, mentors, courses etc, yet if you are a self-sufficient person prepared to work 70 hours a week in order to stand on his own two feet, but have an alcohol problem, then the State just doesn’t want to know and uses punishment as the only weapon in its armoury.

Doesn’t make it right either. Drunk drivers probably kill more folk than crack addict burglars.

11 People are killed by drink drivers on UK roads every week.

On average 3,500 people are killed or seriously injured due to drink driving in the UK each year.

Last year over 90,000 people were convicted of drink driving in the UK alone.

Drug addicts usually kill themselves rather than other people.

It is estimated that each year in the UK around 114,000 people die from tobacco-related diseases, particularly from cancer, respiratory diseases and heart disease.

I’m not condoning it, quite the opposite, it seems a ludicrously idiotic thing to do to drink during work when that work is driving. I personally won’t drive after drinking anything at all, and I don’t drink during the day even on a day off.

This bloke from Muppet Road Show obviously has an alcohol problem and although the ban is appropriate perhaps he ought to be given help to deal with that.

That’s what I thought, a DD Conviction stays on your license for 10 years IIRC, I seriously doubt any major firm would take him on (or their insurance would let them) for a good amount of time

As far as I am concerned anyone caught drunk driving deserve a lengthy ban,
What amazes me is the stupidity of the ones on these shows he’s drinking going along the motorway and just to add a bit more chance he uses the phone !
Is it me IF I was doing something like that I would be not on the phone and have a car/lorry with all the lights working etc !
Many times you watched these shows where the local idiot with no licence /ins or drug dealer is stopped because a light is out !
God bless the idiots of this world reality tv would be lost with out them lol

5 Years and it doesn’t affect insurance, although agencies are a little less understanding
