Thatâs what I thought, a DD Conviction stays on your license for 10 years IIRC, I seriously doubt any major firm would take him on (or their insurance would let them) for a good amount of time
5 Years and it doesnât affect insurance, although agencies are a little less understanding
A drink driving conviction stays on your licence for 11 years but only counts for ten, same as speeding remains for 4yrs but only counts for three
If you think it doesnât affect insurance try getting quotes following a conviction

I did and the question is, "have you had any motoring convictions or been disqualified in the last 5 years?
