And it’s upside down because ?
Because Perthshire Council workers aren’t required to do 35hrs vocational training (probably)
Its magic mushroom season up here…I did see a bear with a hi-vis on running on the A9 near bankfoot so who knows
Muppets.
Heading the full length Dunblane - Inverness and back on Monday evening, will be interesting to see if it changes anything…
does that sign mean vehicles up to 7.5t = 50mph ?
I’ve been doing Dumblane to Perth all week, sitting at 50mph, still trucks flying past me…
Inverness next week

It wiznae me! I’ve been doing Glasgow/Aberdeen 3 days this week, sitting at 81kph on the A9 stretch. Most lorries been doing the same, with one or two exceptions. Then last night they threw in a diversion through Perth (where I got pelted with eggs by a mob of about 30 yoofs out for halloween) "just to slow things down some more…

Ahhhh! I just sit at 80kph. Haha, years ago, on the buses, during a bit of a heat wave, I had, what felt like, a few dozen egg blasted off my windscreen… about 20 mins later, it smelt fantastic!!! made me sooo hungry!!! lol

I’m honestly starting to think this industry needs some sort of vocational training, maybe even periodical just to keep the rules and regs and at the very least the [zb]ing highway code fresh in everyones mind…
The sign in question is on the a9 northbound at bankfoot according to the local rag…no doubt been sorted by now

Sorry I meant to say vehicles over 7.5t … and there is no official sign in the current HWC. so the point you were really making don’t hold water …
what your having to do is add 2 independent signs together to make one.
All this means is more street furniture, more posts, more bloody signs put at stupid places blocking drivers vision.
Oh and you’ll still have numpty Jo that wants to reach warp factor 6 … its about time drivers got taught and told their bosses its a LIMIT not a TARGET

Actually my point holds plenty of water,
You said it yourself…

Are those independent signs in the highway code?
Do we know what this sign means?
(of course we do, its in the Highway code and very relevant to our line of work)
And we all know what a 50 in a red circle means?
So yes we have to add them together to “make sense” of the sign but we’re professional drivers right? I’m sure we can cope with the extra sensory input…
And as for Joe public? Well they never read the old signs so I doubt the new ones will be much of a concern for them
That enough water holding capability for you?
yes but they are 2 independent signs not on one black oblong sign
Shouldn’t that sign read ‘LGV’ which replaced the old term ‘HGV’ ?

Did I not just say…

Seriously, WTF happened to this forum in the 5 yrs I was away? No wonder I’m not seeing the old regulars from back then posting anymore…
Praise Jesus.
How that actually happens in this day and age is just amazing…

that’s what I would make of it too. If it was all HGV’s then there would be no requirement to show a weight in the sign.
