I do sincerely hope a tesco wagon is involved in this type of crash, might make you guys & the powers that be realise that driving that slow can also be dangerous. If you don’t like people trying to clean your windscreen might I suggest complaining in numbers to management & get the limiters restored to what they should be…!!!
What a nasty thing to hope Pimpdaddy.
My hope is for both drivers and families to fully recover from this horrific accident, and not slag anyone off, this can happen to any one of us driving today, on our overcrowded roads.
And thanks to the members, that are keeping us informed on the recovery of the two driver involved.
Who has never had a near miss, where a couple of seconds can make the difference between a horrific smash like this and as i say ,a near miss.
It was meant more for the motor than the driver(I hate axors), but then again it was the driver extracting urine for many years that’s contributed to management implementing it…
I wish every other driver well (except tesco ones of course)-do unto others as you’d like done unto you…!

Since when has 40 and 50 (where it’s the law) been “extracting the urine”?

who was it if you can say
T wish somebody to have an accident, is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard in my whole life.
Its not only supermarkets who limit their trucks to 50 mph, our company are on a trial at the moment, to see if reducing the speed, will increase fuel consumption. Those who want to fly around, will be the first to moan when their bosses lay them off, because the profit margin is too small.
It is annoying, when i have to drive a restricted truck, if all the fleets speed was reduced, it would be ok, for i wouldnt know any different, but when you are driving around at 56, and suddenly have to face 50, it is a nuisance, especially when overtaking, and suddeny you realise you cant.
I wish the drivers concerned a speedy recovery, and to regain their health soon.
So I read that one driver went to hospital and nothing about second driver ■■ Anyone know if they managed to pull him out that wreck ok or not ■■?
It don’t matter how fast wagons go, 40/50/60/70, theres always some idiot that drives like a lunitic.
I drive to work down the A13 from benfllet to rainham, and 4 out of 5 days I see a wagon driver up the arse of the vehcile in front.

Well on the A34 where this happened 50 is the limit so why would he need faster truck10% of 50+2=57. Some of us have work to do…!
if you have to rush round all the time to get the work done it maybe time to get another job, trucks where i am all do 50 but everything still gets done.
I drive my own vehicle & thats enough on my plate, I don’t care wot others do, tailgate, be a prick-it’s your own funeral. I have a job to do & like everyone else on any trade it’s nice to get on without obstructions or any BS in general. Most days I can do anything from 550-700km per shift, that’s how the job is, our motors are suited to it so I can’t see a problem with doing 56mph to get the job done, 50 doesn’t help us in any way. All you people know that times are hard, you do what the boss says(as long as its legal) or you’ll be quickly out of a job & there isn’t no other out there…!
Our driver (warrens) is in ICU still but stable nothing else to report really.
I know I talk ■■■■ but I really do wish both drivers a speedy recovery…

From the report sounds like he has other issues besides the accident to deal with, hope he gets well soon
Strange nothing heard about the other fella tho ■■
There in seperate hospitals and no one really wants to phone up his wife we sent our get wells and another driver is keeping in touch but trying not to be a annoyance.
Pimpdaddy:
it creates work for us steering wheel attendants & causes you to pull out in front of cars doing twice your speed that aren’t looking any further than the bonnet of their car, it’s a hazard & the fact that Im not the only one cutting off tesco drivers says something…
The only thing that causes you to pull out in front of cars doing “twice your speed” is the fact that you are driving like an arse. It’s nothing to do with the Tesco wagon doing 50mph, it’s you being impatient. Just act like a competent grown up professional driver and back off until it is safe to overtake.

Thank-you for the NICE messages and good wishes. It was my brother in the cartwrights lorry (green one), he is an excellent driver, the police said if it hadn’t been for his quick decision then he wouldn’t be here today. It took 40 mins to cut him free and he was then air lifted to hospital. He is doing o.k but looks like he will be in hospital for the next month and then a min of 3 months to make a full recovery. I discovered this website by chance and was warmed by the messages, i have passed them on to my bro. It’s nice to think that others care and the messages do really get to the heart of the people who matter. Thanks again
You’re welcome, glad bro is on the mend…
Fair enough Paul. Am I right in thinking if you keep slowing & accelerating you increase fuel consumption, journey time & brake wear, not to mention risk of a rear end shunt…? We are encouraged to use cruise control as much as possible(& it’s not adaptive, co won’t pay for that), by driving in the manner you’re telling me to it defeats the point. Remember that we’re driving ‘commercially’ here so I want the shortest journey time, cause minimal wear to the vehicle & above all not crash, coming across 20+ tesco pricks doing 50 during my shift ain’t beneficial to me-#simples…!!!
